I had an K&N before:reg_coop wrote:What kind of changes did you notice if any?
.... and i could not make a good cold air solution, so the engine lost power, compared to stock.
After i installed the Simota i can fell a difference, and the sound & quality of the Simota is great.
But the real change comes after de-cat & remap.

You can get the Simota for the 2.2, although can you justify spending best part of £300 for minimal gains? The stock airbox really isnt that poor, specially with some modifcation you can get gains as good as the Simota for very little outlay.BarneyBoko wrote:What would you reccomend for the 2.2 ?
I was about to get the K&N induction kit.

Simota is better than stock, but minimal gains. Maybe 3 HP.BarneyBoko wrote:What would you reccomend for the 2.2 ?

But add a cat-back, and get a re-map. Then you will gain up to 15 HP on a 2.2 (my guess).
Don't buy the K&N. It will get hot air, and you will lose power, compared to stock system.
