Alpina 18" on a Z3

Post by hannanp »

Hi

Has anyone fitted 18" Alpina wheels to a Z3. I have a 2000 3.0l and have been offered a set. Would be interested if anyone has any experience or photos

Cheers

I had the same, Alpina 18" looked stunning, did alter the ride and handling quite a bit, but nothing to ever put you off, I think it would have been sorted if I had fitted a brace..

Aplina's are spot on

as they're soooo light compared to the 5 spoke soft lines we had on (Cheers Gary - best deal ever - still owe you a pint).

Only 2 comments, be happy with the cost of 18" tyres before you but and make sure they're genuine Aplina's with the valve hidden inside the centre cap (with locking key).

Ha ha ha - equally funny was the Astra that tried to do the same and failed miserably - my other moment of silliness was the six (or so) car overtake on the way to the pub at the end - which DavidO thought was impressive for the bravado nature of it - although one or two questioned the sanity of my decision to do it - oh and PN slept through it
