H and R Antiroll bars - Z3M

Post by drummachine »

Morning Guys :-)

Been looking at this upgrade for a couple of years now.

Reading through many posts and discussions about it its obvious of the plus points but my question was whether it will effect the steering in any way?

Any opinions would be great :)

I have H&R's, no effect on steering but much flatter cornering. :D

Thanks Gazza

I already have the H and R lowering springs which made a huge difference already. Do you think the roll bars are that noticeable again?

I really noticed the difference.

I would set them on the soft setting.

The H&R bars make a bigger difference than the springs IMO.

Steering is much more responsive and a bit more weighted as you lean on the car in corners. At high speed you have to recalibrate yourself slightly as the car is a lot more responsive.

On a slightly different note, are Z3m arbs thicker than 2.8?

The rear is a little thicker, but the front bar on the Z3M is actually thinner due to the different location it uses on the struts (vs wishbones).

So a standard Z3M rear bar should provide a tiny improvement (but a set of aftermarket will be a better bet!).
