Boot lock / Boot Loom fix - step by step

Boot lock stopped locking with the central locking. The historic suspect is the boot loom.
Did not want to be destructive - and found the outer sheath is soft enough to peel back (like a snake shedding its skin)

Surprise...surprise...Blue/gray wire is completely severed.

Spliced in an extra bit - note the shrink already on the top wire

Slid on and shrunk the shrink

Slid the inner sheath and outer sheath back (pic showing half way there) and replaced plugs.
It should give me another 5 years ;-)
