Nice one - I've been applying for tickets for years now - been requesting 20 a time so I can take forum members out on mass - a function the website allows you to do I must add - I only read the small print this week where I see the maximum permitted per person is 4.

I've heard it's a long day - what on earth do they need 8 hours for a 1 hour recording.

I went to see The Apprentice - You're Fired show and after watching the episode, the cast/guests did 99% of the show in one take, live edit. A few links had to be redone at the end - 3 hours in total including all the waiting time.

I did sit next to Lorraine Kelly...a lot smaller in real life and cracking set of bristols...ummmmm

The summary........

We were told to arrive no later than 1.30pm and to wait in the carpark until called by a member of the production crew. At 2.30pm we were called together and given the pep talk and led down to the 'Studio' which was an Industrial size unit. I was quite surprised how many people were there, we were told 800 in attendance

The Director took the stage first and gave another pep talk and explained that if they could give tickets to all those that have applied, it would take 64 years to complete the show. It is the show with the highest number of ticket requests so if you have applied for tickets and haven't heard from them, you know why.

JC, RH and JM arrived on stage and gave a few stories and showed some outtakes from previous shows to give us a clue what to expect. the show didnt seem to be scripted, obviously they knew the substance of the show

, Lights,Camera, Action, off we go straight into filming.

Not too many re takes surprisingly. 'Stars in a reasonably priced car' were 2 Dragons from BBC's Dragons Den program, Peter Jones and Theo Paphitis. The interview with these two lasted about 40 minutes (seemed more like 2 hours), I assume it was to get enough chat and then cut it into 5 minutes.

The Stig wasn't in the studio. Filming finished around 6pm and the Presenters buggered off.

Would I do it again?..........................Probably not although I wouldn't have missed this opportunity.

He gave the M3 CSL one of it's best ever reviews and recently awarded the 135i M 5/5 in the Sunday Times.

When you actually analyse his reviews across the entire BMW range, I don't think Mr C is anymore disparaging to BMWs than he is to any other marque (for example he HATED the 997 GT2 in last week's Sunday Times....)

JC was saying that most Car manufacturers had at least one ugly Car in their range, BMW's being the X3.

The Manufacturer without an ugly car in their range (according to JC) was Vauhall, even the Agila

Clarksons 'I found this on the Internet' was the pic of the Guy with his todger up the exhaust of a Range Rover.

You know that was the most difficult Top Gear I've ever watched. It was so hard to scan the audiance looking for you, when what I should have been doing was looking at the cars.

Bex, I would be very surprised if anyone spotted Shabs and I, with 798 other people jossling for position. I only just managed to spot myself because I knew where I was standing. The only shot where I was clearly visible is through the the front window of the Terios when Hammond and May were ending the show.

We thought we had managed to get an excellent spot by the Cool Wall, but they didn't place anything on the Cool Wall this week
