ZRoadster Calendar 2009 - Photographs Wanted!
Hi ZRoadsterites,
Well here we are in October already, and it is time to start thinking about a ZRoadster.net calendar for 2009. The format will be very similar to last years in that we will be offering a properly printed and bound calendar for sale, with a price set to pay for both the printing and to raise a little cash to keep this excellent site up and running.
I am looking for submissions of photographs of all your zeds (Z1, Z3, Z4 and Z8 inclusive) to put into the calendar. Throughout the year a number of you have posted up some really stunning photos, so I would like to ask you to post your best ones in this thread for consideration for the calendar, and for those who have been keeping their pictures to themselves, please do post them up now. Unfortunately only 12 can be picked. There is no set theme, and I would like to use a mix photos of single cars with groups, meets, or just plain spectacular settings for zeds to be seen in.
This year I am going to insist that any photo submitted must be landscape format (horizontal orientation) have an unedited original available which is 3 megapixels or more (about 2000 pixels across). This will ensure that we can print them at a decent size and quality.
Please post your entries in this thread, resized to around 800x600, for us all to see. I will ask for the original image later, assuming your entry is selected. The only other requirement is that you must either own the copyright to the image or have permission to use it.
The closing date for entries is Saturday 22nd November.
I look forward to seeing your pictures. I will update this thread with more information as we go along.
Many thanks R.

Ohhh this is a great opportunity, even if I don't make the grade, what better excuse to go take some photos!
By chance I went out to take some after giving the car a quick detail, unfortunately it got much quicker than I expected... still, I thought I'd share; click to enlarge.
I'll have to update this post over the next couple weeks if I manage to get any better shots

Nowhere near the quality of some of the above, but for what it's worth ...
This is a very low resolution, from a print which I scanned in. I also have the neg somewhere, so could scan that in to see if it's any better.

Or even more extreme...

Wow, what an amazing response.
Some really great pictures so far. Nice to see a good mix of shots. Am liking some of the arty ones - something we haven't really tried previously. Also very nice to see Mr Teatray posting some of his pics up - thank you.
Please do keep them coming. I know that you must have some more great pics hidden someone in the deepest recesses of your harddrives.
Cheers R.

Wow, great photos!
There are some stunning photos there I've really enjoyed looking at them. How about 1 per week on the calendar rather than 1 a month!? Too difficult to choose just 12 surely!?

Use the Search button before posting newbie questions about hard tops and fitting kits, footwell speaker amps, water in the boot, hood maintainance and those horrific angel eyes. We get like 10 threads a week on the same subject, it's obvious that you haven't searched.

If Dieter was around I am sure we'd get some Z8 snaps

The play on words almost worked there, GG, but that's a tee not a green.Green Genie wrote:Here's my calender girl
Nice choice of background - sets the car off well.
Please keep them coming. I know some of you are still hiding in the wings.
Cheers R.
