Light dusting of powder snow here this morning, and cold enough to freeze the nads off a brass monkey, but doesn't look like I will need to borrow any tennis racquets to get to work tomorrow. :(

Just nipped outside, hoping to find a snow drift the size of the Great Wall of China, instead found enough snow in the road to build 1 snowball to share between us. Disappointed :(

Mmmmmmmmmmmm has been chucking down snow on and off all day in Lincs.

Forecast to set in tonight.

Went to put horses back in field this evening but they didn't want to go so have left them tucked up in the stables.

Been snowing since late afternoon here, and I've been stuck inside. Just woke up due to a cat being strangled outside (seriously sounded like it! ) and was met with this scene. I thought I'd snap a few shots and add them to the thread:

and from the front of the block:

I think I'll be walking tomorrow, not even going to chance taking the Z out.

Just a light dusting here where i am, so was able to make it to work in the Zed. Think worse is to come later though.

The snow isn't actually that bad up here - it goes from blinding sunshine to heavy snow showers every half hour or so.

Love the snowman Alex.

It has settled here overnight too and flurries of snow on and off this morning.

I am working from home today.

Just went to turn the horses out with their heavy rugs on and had a lovely barn owl fly silently past, about 10 feet from my face. I could see all the detail in his. He was gorgeous. I wish I had got a piccy as he looked fabulous against the snowy scene. Wouldn't want to frighten him though.

Coming down in lumps in sunny Devon, first time in years, although Dartmoor usually gets some. Luckily I work from home, so haven't had any nightmare moments.

Started snowing here in Reigate last night and has been snowing on and off all day. Unfortunately I could not get to work today :D so had to take granddaughter to local park to try out her tabogan. Still works well considering I bought it originally for her mum!!!
I must still be a kid at heart as I couldn't resist having a go myself :drive Think I'll stick to the Zed in future - It's less scarey!!!!
Luckily no one got a picture of me but took this one of my granddaughter in Priory Park. The building in the background is her school which like all the others in the area was closed for the day. I think she is hoping it will stay closed all week.

Fair bit of snow in Staffs :) I didn't even attempt to drive too work so left the house at 6.45am and walked to work, although the gritters have been out in force so the main roads pretty much clear.

Managed to snap a pic in the garden when I arrived back home mid afternoon :)

Well, it's an ill wind that blew me some good! Gatport Airwick closed to steam chickens and paraffin budgies diverted to Manchester. So we turn out coaches to transport 170 pax by road back to Gatwick. Kerching!!

Woke up at 5am and no snow. I checked the BBC Weather Centre and it predicted snow at 6am and right on time it came down, uncanny. By 7am we had nearly 3 inches  Third day I have walked to work. Have too say walking across fields just after 7am was lovely :)

Took me over 3 hours to drive from Chelmsford to my office in East Finchley, 35 miles away this morning. Witnessed 3 accidents in North London while negotiating the back roads, does no one know how to drive in the snow?

Well said Cloz :)

Unfortunately you would be surprised just how many people in the UK (north AND south) cannot adjust to the conditions. They expect thier daily lives and routines to be un-interrupted.

Sadly, this means their cars must also behave as though nothing has changed. Consequently, in any town or city, you can see countless examples of vehicles with a small space cleared in the windscreen trying to drive at 30, 40, 50, 60 or 70mph as though nothing is wrong. (They are probably on their mobile phones as well but you can't tell) :x

I did see one chap this week though who had made an effort - his windscreen and side windows were clear of snow and frost. Most commendable - except he had his 'phone in one hand and was puffing on a cigarette with the other - whilst steering with his knees....... :head: :head: :head:
