Usernames. Explain yourself!

Post by rgf »

I am intrigued by some people's usernames.
There are clearly some very obscure and surreal ones amongst a variety of childhood nicknames and plays on anything with Zed or Z in it.

I get the prize for the most boring and unimaginative username, going for my initials due to a complete lack of creativity or originality.

So Yocky, Snoops, Spokey, OXO etc etc - explain yourselves please!

Pronounced Too-far-lee-an.

I live at number 2, Farley Close, so that makes me a Tufarlian. :-)

Nice idea.

Mrs ZC set her heart on getting a Z3 and at the time (not knowing any better) I tried to pursuade her that it was a totally impractical car

When she sensibly didn't listen to what I was saying and eventually achieved her dream I got to collect it, wash and polish it, make sure it was serviced, etc, etc. - oh and fill it up with petrol so I became Zed Carer.

HPFirenza, High Performance Firenza, nicknamed the Droop Snoot Firenza or the Flying Pig, one of only 200 built by Vauxhall in the 70s. This is my all time favorit car and I own one of approx only 50 left.

m.o.t.c.o. acronym for man on the Clapham omnibus. I don't come from Clapham nor do I use buses, but it's a general term for a typical person whose opinion probably represents a broad average of the populus. Not true of me either! :nerd:

I use the full moniker on the Westfield club forum but it's a bit of a mouthful so I have initialised it for use on other sites. Once, before they made it paid-up members only, I used to post on the Lotus Seven club forum as 'innocent_bystander' because Westfield owners are not always quite appreciated on there (Westfields are deemed to be inferior copies with no 'heritage') and I wanted to put forward a face of unbiassed reason. :?

Then, I was thinking that fender is the American for the car wing, so mine has a double meaning :D

And the Z well......guess? :D
