Hello all from a "newby"

I have finally decided to get active in the forum. In May 2010 I aquired the M Roadster that appeared in the Jan 2008 BMW car magazine. For those that remember Jason Harper was a prior owner who did extensive mods on the car incuding H&R coil overs as replacement for standard suspension. Evolve Luton did all the mods

The car is fantastic and drives like a dream... with one exception based on personal taste. The suspension is very hard even on "soft setting" and I am looking for the best solution to revert back to a traditional suspension. I then plan to sell the current coil overs to anyone on the forum who may ne interested in buying. Would appreciate any advice.
Thanks

welcome on board

You could revert back to an OEM S54 suspension but KW s are regarded as the most flexible setup for the Z3m. I have the schnitzer setup which is great for fast road use with H&R ARBs but hard for a daily driver.

Welcome, if its the car I think it is then its THE reason I bought an M roadster! Get some pics up! I upgraded mine to H&R coilies which I find ok but I'm used to harder suspension on my cars. As Jon said your best bet is KW3V3's but they aren't cheap! Get some pics up!

New Chrome Roll Hoops

Post by rovers01 »

Hope someone can help.
I have just purchased some new chrome roll hoops for my M Roadster.
Took it down to a local dealer and they had no clue where to start with replacing standard black and replacing with the new ones !

I had hoped this was just a retro replacement to fit the existing configuratiion but it appears not ?
Any help much appreciated as I know a number of members have these fitted.

BTW.. Look forward to meeting many of you zedders at Silverstone !

Have you got the separate tubes or the one piece version ?

The separate tubes are a direct replacement for the OEM hoops. There are 3 or 4 Torx bolts that hold the hoops in place. You need to remove the centre box and also the small plastic cover that is on the outermost post that the hoop goes through.

Can be done quite easily
