I'm in the planning phase of arranging a trip to the Monaco GP.
The start will be the EuroTunnel sometime around the weekend of 18/19 May.
The Monaco GP is on the weekend of 25/26 May with P1 & P2 on Thursday 23rd.
The return home will be sometime after that, but within 28 days of the start (for insurance reasons).
Anyone ideas for things to do?

After the trip to the GP you could always pick a route back taking in the Alps coming back through Italy and Switzerland. Stay over at Mulhouse and visit the Motor Museum.

There's a group of us visiting Monaco a couple of days after the GP (we depart the UK on the 25th) , taking the long way down via Millau and then back up route Napoleon.

Go to Castellane and spend a couple of days in the Gorges du Verdon. The roads are great and the scenery spectacular.

Re: Pingu's Tour d'Europe 2013
I've reccied the Route de Napoleon on the map. I don't know whether to do Grenoble --> Grasse , or the other way. The road out of Vizille is marked as "difficult or dangerous section of road" which will be entertaining .
I'm planning to go to...
le Mans
Millau
Route de Napoleon
+ lots more (as yet undecided)

Almost the same as us!! we're heading to Cognac for the Remy factory tour and then onto Millau, two days heading cross country via the mountains (Mont Vonteux) rather than the Motorway.pingu wrote: le Mans

Back up the RN and then the D996, which is highly recommended...
Plenty of time to play in Gorges du Verdon etc..
I'm sure we'll be able to show photos of the bits we missed
