Sorry to see you guys stuck at home in the snow and rain. Here in South Brittany its been a lovely spring day today meaning top down motoring through Malestroit to Questembert and onto Vannes for Moules & Chips.
Hope the spring arrives for you Zedders in UK soon.

Pre-season cricket training is meant to start soon. I don't play any more but the thought of driving to watch a game in the Z3 with the roof down, seems a long way off at present

Trust you are enjoying your mussels and chips in the sunshine in Brittany. I remember enjoying that during a trip to Normandy in 1993. 8-)

Just got back from a short 30km run...I had to test my new dual ear diff mount upgrade, so gave it some beans in the take offs and decelerations...threw it through a few "S's"...and over a few speed bumps...all this with the top down of course...so I could listen for any unusual noises...but with those 4 tailpipes I couldn't hear any worrying new sounds...I had a look underneath on my return, and all well with the fitting !! But best of all is that the outdoor temp is now just 20C. with big blue skies...and I can now fit my new driver side seatbelt without cooking in the sunshine....as the ad goes "whatacar!"
Have fun in the snow guys....it may turn to mud later...and your cars will really need a cleaning....

The way to look at it is, sun all year around would be boring, just think of all the people in warmer countries who don't experience the changing seasons

....Oh the seasons change here...at the moment the leaves are turning all those magnificent yellows golds reds and browns...the daily high's are down into the low 20's, and the nights are dropping into the 10 - 12C range...winter will come around and the daily high's will drop to around 10C and it'll go to zero as a nightime low. What we won't have is the snow to mess up the opportunity to drive, even top down with appropriate dress is possible, as the skies will stay blue until the end of October, when the Spring rains will return....so being South African in France is moot.

Ah, moules et frites - one of those memories - like sun in England - both distant.

Ooo no.
I lived in Tenerife from 83 to 93 and never missed the rain and cold. Unfortunately, I didn't have a Zed then - or anything with an open top.

Hi Jon,

Tyres have been brilliant upto now, no problems, I'm really quite surprised considering theyre all seasons and not full winters. If I had left the Falkens on with wider ACS alloys I would have been a cropper for sure in the deeper snow :) Its still snowing here in Staffs, we had quite a bit over night again, I reckon we have 10 inches or so. The problem now is ice for tomorrow morning and work, I'm not so much worried driving myself its others on the roads with summer bald tyres

No we havent got brain freeze, ive been out in mine all winter, just had to wash him more often - had some lovely drives with the top down already. No snow here either, glorious sunshine all day so far today, but there is a snow plough snowed in on the main road only 6 miles away from here, its a bit bad when he gets stuck.

We've come down to Bude for the weekend- were expecting it to be a lot warmer when we booked it! Nice drive along the Atlantic road. I love the fact i can drive for hours and hundreds of miles in my 17 year old car without the slightest concern.

Icy winds from the Artic forecast to carry on blowing across the UK for the rest of the week. Might trade-in the Z for something to cope with our new climate :D

Out in the Z the other day and every time I went to start the car I heard two beeps, I thought I wonder what the beeps are for.
On checking the manual :rtm: it seems as the temperature was so cold it was warning me to take extra care as there could be ice around.
