Silverstone Classic on ITV4 now

Post by Robert T »

Just watching a bit of the Silverstone Classic on TV now - ITV4 are showing the races for the next few evenings at 9pm for an hour - the zeds made it on for a couple of seconds in the first few minutes. :D

Am looking out for a 60's Lotus who's owner/driver I was talking to - he won his class.

Cheers R.

Just watched it too Robert. I can remember being in the BMW hospitality venue when Murray Walker was being interviewed. Really enjoyed the racing on the programme. Its amazing that some of those historic cars are worth mega bucks, but they raced for real. Think I will have to watch it again to catch the Zeds.

I've recorded it but not watched it yet.
Did it explain if it's a series of four programmes or one programme repeated four times???? :puzzle:

Great racing. Shame that Monteverde in the 917 can't drive  .

I take it that the TVRs & E-Types in the rain was on Friday. Looked like great fun.

Penthouse advertising on the FW07 :D .

Jonathan Legard - what a pratt. That puff of smoke proves it  . The car drove over some concrete dust.

Remembered watching the Cosworth spitting flames while we were waiting to go on the track. I'm on the mound near the ambulance. If you have freeze-frame you can see my legs - fame at last :D .

I think it is only one programme repeated a few times over the next few weeks

Looks like they edited it down into one show as the races didn't take place in the order shown. I thought they abandoned the racing on Saturday when we were getting ready for our parade lap. Pretty sure it would have rained on Sunday after I left (about 4.30pm), as I passed a number of wet patches on my way home, and it tipped it down just after I put the car in the garage.
