They've not been working since Xmas, at least.

Its a shame. I think they'd be fun.

Oh, all right, I'll have a go at it. Haven't the faintest idea why it stopped working, mind you.

I think the best option would be to check for the latest version of the board, see if it has an upgrade install facility, back up the SQL database and then follow the destructions and test :)

I recently upgraded a vBulletin board in this way to sort out some quirks, works fine now :D

System.

It's a hang over from the old days (B.I.) when you ran it on a stand-alone PC.

(B.I. = Before Internet)

I used to run one years ago on a DOS system for my company. Users would dial in directly to it - so if you only had one phone line asa BBS operator, you could only have one person on the BBS at a time!

Grandmothers, sucking and eggs come to mind!

The sheer amount of customisation on this board means all upgrades are now done by manually applying patches to the various script files. It looks like one of the patch instructions was wrong: http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?p=1516833

Nice one Tim, sorry to have a dig, it's just my style I'm afraid. Takes all sorts.

Now we can have a vote on Parent and child spaces.

(only joking)

No offence taken, in fact I appreciated the reminder.
