We wanna go to Scotland 2007

Post by eagle f1 »

ok zzz-fans, I'll try: :D
we, barb and me(49+1), are from bavaria/germany and have driven 36 z3-tours during the last 5 years.
two weeks ago we went to visit a zzz-friend in vienna/austria.
he told us his vision 2007: with z3 on tour in/to scotland.

I thought, purhaps we can go together!
We met first zettis from your island in 2005 at andernach/ch.
So my question: Does anyone plan an event/tour in scotland and his highlands 2007, purhaps when it's time for edinbourgh fringe?

zzz-greets
uwe

(please excuse, our english-level to read is very, very low. (it seems purhaps more than ...)
so if you answer, please use very simple articulation, thanx alot!!!)

Some members do organise quite a few meets in Scotland, I'm sure they will all start planning the next big one soon.
I hope to make the next one myself.

Nice to see so much interest in H3, but calm down! Nothings confirmed yet. We're not taking names for places yet. But happy to take note of potential numbers. :D

@ garyw: hi, and wonderful. if you start planing, please let me know duly.

@ jules: thanx for, but next month is def. too soon and too cold, also there's no chance for edinbourgh-festival and it's not yet 2007. I think i havn't understand your comment.

just as much @ all who reverse her participation at h3.
I hope it's not by reason of me.

@ eagle f1 These events take a number of months to plan - just to give you some idea....

We (the Highlander Team - Jules/Missie/Roaders/Linzi and I) discuss and agree the routes.
We then run them to check them for suitability, timings etc.
We also look at accomodation, coffee stops, lunch break stops and any other things to make the event.

The announcement from the Highlander Team next month will be to announce dates and proposed routes.
Members express their interest and from this feedback, we then go into full planning mode.

Hope this helps you.

The Edinburgh Festival & Fringe will be later in the year, so you will have to make two visits.

Hi Nero,

it's interessting to read from Your Highlander Team and Your preparationstrategy. They are the natually the same as in the austrian highlands. A special problems in this country are the blebs of those girls, we like the most.

Are there other scottish members than the HT who organize cruises in scotland? Or are there no english Z-Fans who hit the road over the boarderline?

Thanks by the way for the link to fringe. I'm yearning and perhalps You are right, that I better should separate both intentions.

Hi Scotraider, thanks for Your offer, very much!
I will transfer it to my zzz-friend in vienna/austria for information.

So, when You are at home directely in Edinburgh, are You as well member of the highlander-team?

You offer: "If you need an interesting route planned let me know"
OK, thats it: We only wanna see - simply the loveliest sights.
And attention: we are spoiled, would You approve Your offer, yet?

Do You dispose about a homepage or an other posibility, so that we can have a little look on pictures from Your cruises?

zzz-greetings :bounce:

Hello Uwe an Barbara,
hello everybody,

Uwe, what a nice surprise to read you here. I am also surprised about your great planings to visit Scotland in 2007. What a wonderful idea, fantastic.

My wife and me stayed 10 days in Scotland in May 2006. Started our trip from Glasgow, went over to Stirling, Edinburgh, St. Andrews, traveld along the east cost up to Invernes, took a visit at the beautiful Highlands an finaly came down to the Isle of Sky - without our lovely Zetti, but with great impressions of this nice country and his friendly people. This won´t be our last trip, we´ll come back somewhere in the future.

Gents, Uwe is a lovely and well experienced driver and I am absolutely convinced if you´ll meet him you´ll share our opinion. We met him and Barbara at the 29th. Oct. in soutj Germany on a great Z-tour together with 28 Z-roadster drivers in Bavaria.

Uwe, may be you can put some car pictures at the board, if someone is interessted about our german activities in the south?

Anyway, as real Scotland fans we appreciate your planings.
Hope, some of the "breavehearts" will pick you up overthere (tour?).

Good luck!

Bye for now
Marco

Nice one :D
Yeaph, all the stuff is in german (and swiss... hehe), Nero.
But you got it. The pics themselves do explain everything.

Got more than 48 persons with approx. 28 cars (Z3, Z4 and Coupés).
It was a so called "bavarian season-end tour" not so far away from Munich (home of BMW headquarter).

Regards

For the less germanically inclined here is an English Translation of the forum page. Google seems to have added a comic element, but you get the gist. Some nice pictures BTW. Cheers R.
