More info on Tatton Park's site and the BMWCC site. There are some directions too (map).

Breakfast Meeting
There will be an optional partaking in the tradition northern delicacies of the bacon buttie and sausie sarnie at High Legh Garden Centre (map) at 10.00am (BB's served from 10.30am). Entry to the garden centre will be via the tradesman's entrance round the side (turn down first left after the main entrance, about 100 yards and on your left). After consumption of BB's and hot beverages, we will then descend on Tatton en masse, aiming to arrive there at about 11am. Those not partaking in BB's, please make your own way to Tatton and we'll see you there (the show starts at 10am).

The Show
You will need to pay your park entry fee (£4.50 per car) at the gate at Tatton, and then drive past the main car park by the hall, and follow the road round to the BMW Festival. There should then be another little kiosk where you pay your show entry fee (£2 per person, under 16s free) and collect your show'n'shine entry form. Park up on the area reserved specifically for zeds. Note that BMWCC membership is NOT required to show your car.

Early Evening Meal
I have booked a table at The Roebuck for those who have said they would like to have some food before they depart. I am expecting us to eat somewhere around 4.30 - 5pm - they are quite flexible on this. I ate there a few weeks ago and the food was excellent. Mobberley is only a short drive from Knutsford, so if we leave by either the Knutsford gate it is easy enough to find. It is opposite The Bull's Head, a few hundred yards down a side road just as you are leaving Mobberley. The is a map on the contact page of the website. Access back to the motorways is fairly easy - either back to Knutsford for the South and North West - or through Wilmslow to go East.

People
The following people have shown an interest in attending and showing their cars. BB denotes bacon butties, EEM denotes early evening meal. Those in brackets are possibles.

Robert T - 1 - BB, EEM
Dave L2 - 2 - BB, EEM
Deano1712 - 1 - BB
myredzed - 2 - BB
adamski - 1 - BB
Bally - 1 - BB
aceman - 2 - BB
MikeR - 1
whiteminks - 1 - BB, EEM
Z4M Man - 1 - BB
gookah - 2 - BB
Zed Carer - 2 - BB, EEM
Rocketman - ?

Possibles:
c_w - 1 - ?
timz3 - 1 - BB

Hope I didn't miss anyone. I make that a total of 13 cars plus 2 more possibles. :D

The nice weather has been ordered - we shall have to see if it turns up on time.

Cheers R.

Have just been talking to MikeR about this one. If enough people are up for it, then we might do bacon butties again and turn up en masse. I'll post up some more details nearer the time.

Are you planning on going Marc?

I will come along to this one again. Last year it was a fun meet, aside from the rain.

Are you coming down from Carlisle Russ?

Right, it looks like I have been volunteered into organising something around this event again this year. I will post up proper details shortly. I just want to get some idea of numbers and what people would like to do during the course of the day.

Last year ran like this - meet 10am at nearby garden centre for bacon butties - arrive show in convoy at about 11am - we had our own zed display area with about 16 cars - 11 of them (I think) from ZR. A few of us then followed on with an early tea at a nearby pub.

This year I am planning a similar 10am start with bacon butties (or sausie sarnies for those that prefer them), then on to the show for about 11am. I must remember to try to get some photos of the zeds coming up the driveway to Tatton, as it looked ace with a dozen zeds in close formation behind me in my mirrors.

For those that would like to eat, we will leave about 4-4.30pm (after the raffle has been drawn - I won three prizes last year :D) and head over to a nice local pub. I am thinking of a pub a little further afield than last time so that we can have a little bit more of a group drive first. There are plenty of nice pubs round here, but where we go will depend very much on numbers.

I need to know approx numbers for bacon butties, the show and meal afterwards. For the show in particular we need to know how much space to mark out for zeds. For the meal I will need some idea of how much table space we will need.

For anyone requiring overnight accommodation, let me know and I can give you the details a few nearby hotels.

I look forward to seeing lots of familiar faces, and plenty of new ones. :)

Please post your interest below.

Thanks R.

Hi Rob

Just checked with my better half and we are interested but just noticed that everyone who has responded is in a Z3 - are Z4's allowed? Yes to bacon butties but will can't confirm the meal yet. Haven't been to Tatton Park since my mum used to take me there - far too long ago to remember.

Hi ZC - yes, of course Z4s are allowed. Why on earth wouldn't they be!

There were two from ZR last year, and two more on show that weren't - see here from some pics. And a quick panorama. :D

Hi Rob - sorry couldn't resist the original comment as Z3's don't generally wave back when I am out in the Z4 - I would have liked to come in the Z3 but the bits of cosmetic work are taking much longer than expected as work keeps getting in the way!

Lovely pictures - will have to spend the Saturday before getting the Zed looking shiney.

No it wasn't, Bex, this thread was started on 29th May! :D

I'd love to have done Ireland, but I'm likely to be travelling for work, so I wouldn't have been able to get there, even if it hadn't clashed with this. :(

We shall have to drag you along to an NW pub meet, or failing that, hold it in your garden.

Everyone else, looking like a good turnout. I will do a bit of a reccy shortly to make sure of food venues. Please note that even though this is a BMWCC event, it is open to all zedders to display their cars, so the more the merrier. :D

Maybe we can do it again next year, I'm sure Conor would be up for the challenge :D

What a cracking idea, all those zeds infront of my house. Give me chance to build my decking and then we can have a party 8-)
I promise to try my hardest to get to the NM Pub meet. It's just so hard, the temptation of being in a pub and not being able to have a glass of wine is just too much to bare
Only kidding, (sort of) I'll see what I can do :D

Hi Robert
Just back from my hols so I thought I'd better check in. It's good to see the thread is producing some response and I'll do the same as last year - i.e. get in contact with the organisers (Geoff) and let him know how much space to leave us (no Porsches this year, so more room available). I'll get along to the park ahead of you guys and make sure that our "towels on the beach". I'll look forward to your spectacular arrival - as last year!

My first time this year and I notice you say no Porsche this year, is this correct because my mate was looking forward to bringing his 944 along. Shame if that's the case, I will have to let him down gently

The Porsche owners let the BMWCC down last year with a smaller than expected turnout so this is why its a BMW only show for 2008.

Hi guys and gals,

I'll post up a list at the top of this thread later. I'm on my travels at the min, and I have no idea what day it is, let alone where I am or what time it is.

Looks like we have a good number of people interested. I will confirm that we are okay for bacon butties with the GC we used last time and ring round a few pubs/restaurants for somewhere to eat late afternoon for those interested when I get back. I will need some more definite numbers for booking that, but it was a nice end to the day last time, so hopefully we with have a few partakers.

I'd like to display my car with all the other Zed's on the day if that's possible so would you be able to reserve a space for me??? M and I would be interested in meeting up at the pub (or whereever) afterwards with everyone, but probably won't be there early enough for the butties. :D

Hi All,

I have now posted up a list of names at the top of this thread (2nd post). Please could you check that I have you down correctly for BB's and EEM's.

Showing your car is easy at this one - we don't need to send out passes - you just pay and display. :D So if anyone else fancies a great day out, then sign up now.

srvz3 - you might want to take a look at this amphibian related thread. If I haven't had time to clean the zed, I may have to go to the show in it.

Hi Rob

Looking at the possible attendance list this is looking like an event not to be missed. Looking forward to putting faces to funny names, I have a audio workshop booked with myredzed, the red zed should give me clue in finding him

The Zeds in the garage this week for engine diagnostics / repair & hopefully an ongoing problem solved. It should be done by Thursday then back home for a good clean no doubt.

Can you please put me down for the BB and book us all nice warmdry day please :D

Thanks

Well we are looking like we will have quite a convoy to turn up to the show with. :D

I will do a bit of a recce tomorrow and make sure that the BB venue can accomodate us. For EEMs I have a couple of places in mind, so now that I have a better idea of numbers I can book something - it will either be the same place as last time, or another nice pub I tried recently which was very good.

I will see if I can smuggle some nice weather back through customs next week, :sunny

For those showing for the first time, this is one of the easiest shows to come to as you pretty much just turn up. 8-)

I'm a new Z3M Roadster convert (previous Z3 1.9 owner) and don't get much opportunity to drive my car so I would like to attend this meeting and show my car. As I have read it is turn up, pay, show car. Is that correct or do I need to let anyone know in advance? I would like to be able to park my car amongst other Z3m's or Z3's or M's.

Hi Rocketman,

Yes, you have it correct, it is turn up, part with small amount of cash to get in, and then smiles all round. Would be great to have you along. Are you up for a bacon buttie or a sausie sarnie first?

Hi there R,

Won't say yes to the Bacon Butties because of the distance we have to travel, I doubt we would wake up in time! Will try and aim to arrive at the show about the time the BB crew turn up (11:00).

See you there.

I have now posted up more complete details for the event. I haven't got final confirmation for the bacon buttie venue, but I hope to have this on Monday. If it falls through, I have another couple of local garden centres within a few miles of Tatton to try, or failing that I'll make them myself. I did sample the ones from High Legh this morning and they were still good. :D

EEM venue is confirmed as The Roebuck in Mobberley. Menu and map are available online. I have booked a table from 4.30 pm for this for those that have shown an interest above.

I have also included some details of the procedure for the show. I will double check these, but that was the format for the last two years.

Weather forecast currently varies between light rain and sunny intervals depending upon which weather site you use  Hopefully the sunny intervals one has got it right!
