19 Jul: Let's Go Zedding!

Post by spokey »

If anyone fancies a cruise at short notice, there will be a small outing from the OK Diner in Eggington starting 10:00 sharp on Saturday, 19 July 2008.

Starting point is:
A38 Southbound
Eggington
Derbyshire
DE65 6GY

Be there early to get brekky in!

The cruise will end at around 17:00 at the same place. There is a Jet services at the OK diner, but a Shell can be found between J1 and J2 of the A50.

Sorry about the lack of notice on this one, but I need to know who is coming by noon on Wednesday so that I can arrange lunch.

Hope to see (at least some of) you there! :D

Confirmed:

Spokey + 1
TrickyZ1 + 1
garyw + 0

Interested:

sadly I'll be in London in a committee meeting - which should ensure you have the most terrific weather!

Hope you have a great time, I'll be thinking of you.....

As far as I'm concerned, my cruises are always gentle. What you lot get up to behind me is none of my doing.

I'd be interested to compare your definition of gentle to the one in the Oxford English Dictionary

Hope the weather stays fine for Saturday 8-)

Four cars started off at the OK Diner:

By pure chance, I found relatively traffic-free roads and a most enjoyable bimble was held in honour of this very well-popped cherry (seen at the lunch stop):

Image

Two red zeds, notice that it's not mine parked across two bays:

Image

Gary also seemed to struggle with parking, although he blamed it on Rich:

Image

At lunch, Gary was quick to point out that the PCGB gave members all sorts of perks, such as the free handbag he was carrying:

Image

Rich and Nadine looked a little bemused at the concept:

After lunch, we ambled back to the cars and drove some more absolutely fantastic roads, till rain stopped play ... luckily right at the end of the cruise, anyway!

I have to say, I don't think I've seen such fantastic roads in years. The exact same cruise will be re-run in September, dates to be confirmed, but be there, or be square, baby! :thumb:
