Dunsfold 2 and Summer Party - Surrey - 1st August
Well, I'm just putting the feelers out first before going full swing into getting this arranged.
Provisionally we have the choice of Saturday August 1st or 8th - with a couple of different configuations.
Saturday, Meet at Dunsfold for 10am - The day will compromise of a few laps of the track behind a safety car - a few more than last time, a wet weather Autocross event and competition and a massive photoshoot.
Hotel - nothing sorted just yet, but a place for us all, and a summer party/bbq/kneesup
Sunday 2nd, Cruise and Goodwood Breakfast Club - Soft top Sunday.
If we held it on the 8th, Goodwood would be replaced with a cruise of sorts.
Cost wise, it'll be £7 per car for Dunsfold going to their charity. The Autocross event is expensive so I'll be looking at getting this sponsored. Added to this, the hotel and food and drink - obviously I'll strive to keep costs as low as possible whist retaining quality.
What I'd like to see here is a show of hand, I'm not asking for any confirms yet - just to gauge interest.

There's always something going on down south! Myself and ClareS from z4-forum did a run last weekend. Please excuse the poor parking of the imola - that guy's blind, I mean, check out the colour comboRob13 wrote:Yes would also def be keen, hooray for something down south
There will be another Sunday run announced shortly as well.

Hey popsausage....
I went and had a look at the pics on the forum, indeed some nice cars there too.... as there were M3's and 6 series' I guess they would not mind a Z3 either....?
I had actually been thinking about going on it but having not crossed off the days on my calendar thought it was this weekend - doup!
Hope to meet some of you soon, been on here ages and have still not been to any meets....

The last Dunsfold run was good fun in the end, just a shame about the weather in the morning. And, as I recall, the driver of that Imola ///M decided to have the roof down all the way from the meeting point on the A3, until the turning onto Dunsfold, in rather wet conditions! Crazy fool! (love the cream/red interior though, Andy ) .
There are quite a few meets organised year round for the south/southeast on zed-cars.eu, just as a point of interest if anyone doesn't know.

Hi All,
I needed to get a big number of cars (75+) to make this a) possible (to ensure a minimum guaranteed charity donation to Dunsfold), and b) worth the hard work to get up and running. I'm going to skip it this year. The upside of doing Dunsfold Track on the Saturday (less noise restrictions and wet auto-x track) vs the cost of hiring a venue for the summer party (in the middle of wedding season) didn't stack up.
Don't fear, I'll be looking at doing this spring time next year or some variation.
Regards
Andy
