Harewood House 13th September
Is anyone planning to go to the Cars in the Park event at Harewood House near Leeds on September 13th??
See www.harewood.org or www.carsinthepark.org.uk
At the event last year there were 297 cars in attendance apparently. Admission is £6 for car and driver, or £7 for car plus two. You need to register and book in advance online.
As a relative newbie who has just enjoyed his first meet at Sledmere I am keen to go to this.
I am gradually mastering the addition of pics (thanks to Titan for his help). Here are a couple of my motor.

Yes - we've bought our ticket already
Newby Hall was a good day even if it had decided to threaten rain before the "official" photographer got round to the Zs
No doubt ZC will be up for a Sunday rendezvous at his favourite Costa Packet Coffee Shoppee
Any more takers?

Must put a reminder on the notice board to book the ticket - just got back from picking nephew & niece up from the airport - off to Edinburgh tomorrow for a few days followed by a weekend at Centre Parcs. Unfortunately too many people and too much luggage to use the Zeds
Of course ' - always assuming that I can get permission for two weekends on the trot as IIRC its Tatton on the 6th Sep.No doubt ZC will be up for a Sunday rendezvous at his favourite Costa Packet Coffee Shoppee

rgf: you should get an email that contains a link to your ticket; or you can just log in to Cars in the Park and view your ticket - there should be a "print" icon to the right and this allows you to print your ticket.
Now where are we meeting up this time - Ferrybridge or Wetherby - wouldn't want Titan to have to travel too far.
Booked mine tonight - got the email from Chris that the ticket was ready for printing - accessed it only to find that the bl$$dy printer has given up the ghost Own fault as I've been meaning to get a new one for weeks.I've booked and paid but not received any confirmation or ticket. Has anyone else ?

Ferrybridge isn't TOO far in the WRONG direction for us, but it dies seem a shame to drive PAST Costa Wetherby Coffee without stopping and waiting thereZed Carer wrote:Now where are we meeting up this time - Ferrybridge or Wetherby - wouldn't want Titan to have to travel too far.
Might as well consume caffeine and conserve fuel simultaneously
Who knows ZC - your favourite waitress might mistake one silver Z for another one and have our order waiting

Would be very interesting if my favourite Costa lady mistakes your silver Z3 for mine as she works at the Costa on Platform 1 at Darlington Station - I know that a Z3 runs like "its on rails" but didn't know that you had new wheels
Wetherby it is then - I'll just have to get a small Costa from Ferrybridge to keep me going - more points on the Costa cardFerrybridge isn't TOO far in the WRONG direction for us, but it dies seem a shame to drive PAST Costa Wetherby Coffee without stopping and waiting there

I have exchanged emails with the organiser to find out times for the show.
A newsletter will be posted on www.carsinthepark.org.uk shortly but he thinks it will be a 10am opening.
That sounds like a 9.15am meet up for a coffee at Wetherby to me.

You beat me to it this time
Just a note that I set up our own zroadster.net group last time so you should all be able to register under that group and enable us to all park in a group.

Damn I thought I was being dead efficient, ah well the more publicity the better
Aceman, when I was ordering I looked for the Zroadster group we used last time but could only find "BMW M / Roadster" so I assumed they must have combined the group. Maybe I missed it (I was being pestered at work whilst trying to do important stuff like order my tickets )
If someone else could confirm (on the original thread), don't want to cause any ruckshions (is that a word?)

BMW M / Roadster
CITP Info (for jonttt et al)
When buying tickets the option is for BMW M / Roadster.
When deciding on groups there is a ZRoadster.net to choose.
Methinks that enables you to enter you car into other groups should you so wish

I haven't actualy oredered my ticket yet but if you check on groups we are at the bottom of the list so I presume it is available when you order. At the end of the day it doesn't really matter it just gives Chris and everybody else numbers of types of cars attending.

Hopefully this should be a good turnout this year as apart from myself there was only one other Z at Harewood CITP last year. It is a very good backdrop as you get to park on the lawns directly in front of the house, here's hoping for good weather.

You can even escort ZC to Wetherby Costa as a start for the convoy to Harewood
I see on www.carsinthepark.org.uk that gates open at 9.30am.
That seems a little early to me for a Sunday morning.
If we wanted to get there for about 10, how about a 9.15 meet at Wetherby service so that Zed Carer has time for a Costa, then tootle along together from there?
Few weeks away yet I know but no doubt people are coming and going on holidays between now and hen.

I'm OK with 09:15 as that will give me time to wash, polish and wax before leaving and have the all day breakfast before the rest arrive for coffee. That seems a little early to me for a Sunday morning.

Would it be OK if I meet up with you guys in Wetherby.
Of course you can come along and meet up
Look forward to seeing you there

I could perhaps bribe my son into coming down from Edinburgh with the prospect of driving the Z3 and book another ticket and bring both the silver Zed's to help keep the numbers up.Titan, better get some extra silver paint ordered, we are definately going to be out numbered this time

Welcome Gio!
Congrats on getting the Z3, I am sure you will love it.
Hope you can join us at Wetherby for the Harewood event, it should be a good day out.
You will find the forum very useful. You just need a droll sense of humour and thick skin - not naming names but some fellow Yorkshiremen can be quite mischievous. I hope your car is silver (long story)

Gio's Z3 is not silver but Blue so I think that he'll be OK - my Silver Z3 has a blue interior - not sure how a Blue car would look with a Silver interior - oh dear will the mischievous Yorkshireman see that as a challenge.Welcome Gio!

Don't worry it never bothered TitanGio wrote:......... and I apologise in advance for all the stupid questions I will ask on this forum, as I know sod all about cars.
Seriously its what this forum is all about, passing on knowledge gained over the past 10 years by members on here.
Try using the search function though as most questions have been answered before. Its not the easiest thing to use but try using multiple words with the word AND to narrow down your searches eg rear AND screen
sunny day would be nice please, whoever sorts it out.
Does anyone know if they allow BBQs on the field, I'm guessing probably not due to damage to the grass or even to the plastic cars!
Don't want to eat any BBQ food, just looking for a way of producing some smoke to hide some of Zelda'a imperfections
