Any thing special needs pre booking and as I am not able to commit to a certain number all my ideas are worthless.
I did consider a cruise and dine but ----------

I hope that Jason can make it, its been ages since we've seen him.. and that was in the Loire :)

Some time ago I went on this and it was excellent. However its the booking/deposit/committment thats the problem. There are 9 of us so far and Jason? makes 10. If I booked it, providing it was available, and someone drops out or then some others want to come then I am in the mire.

I have booked the venue The Manor Hotel at Meridan.
I need to know whether anyone else is coming to confirm with the hotel restaurant the numbers.
This is a different sort of venue to the norm. and smart casual is the order of the day. Might even wear a tie for this one.
Need to know asap though.
There are 11 of us at present.
Last minute attendees will not be possible.

I'd really like to thank everyone who attended last night to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the monthly Midland Drive and Dine :bow

We had a shorter drive than usual to give us more time for celebrating and socialising :cheers

Our journey home was interesting to say the least. Has anyone ever carried a 3' helium filled balloon in a Zed (thanks Jo!!!)? I can't imagine what on-coming cars thought when they saw us travelling along  Well, they certainly couldn't see me in the passenger seat !

Thanks again everyone.......great company as always. See you next month, if not before.

Nice to finally see a new Z4 on the run in what looked a stunning red- even at night..

It was somewhat ironic that the first cock up I've made in 10 years was last night.
I booked a table for 11 and had prepared a large round table which seated a maximum of 11. - and to my horror and embarrassiment I had miscounted and there were 13 people sitting in the bar.
Fortunately a long table for 13 was hastily laid so we could all sit down together - my blushes spared.
Thanks for all the good wishes and pressies.
With that airship in the car it would have been interesting if a) it would have rained or b) had we been stopped by the police.
Next few months will be Dine only

My apologies firstly for the time it has taken me to reply; as always it was a great evening.

Phil and Marise you do a great Job organising this every month for which both Laura and I always thoroughly enjoy.
