Hi all

I would just like to add my thanks to Mark for all his hard work in organising it, and to everyone else who put undoubted amounts of hard work in. For someone who had never done anything like this before, it was some eye opener - particularly the first leg with the first (fast!) group. It made me realise that the car is considerably more capable as a vehicle than I am as a driver! It really was very enjoyable and I shall try to upload some pics later. Thanks again :)

As all have said, many thanks to Mark for such a great weekend. He even managed to organise the best weather so far this year.
Group 1 was definately the place to be.
Looking forward to the next one.......................Cat and Fiddle!

Hi
That looks like one great :sunny weekend cruise. :thumb: Wish I could have made it. This has inspired me to try and attend a cruise and some of the other generic BMW shows this year.

Regards

If a video appeared on youtube showing parts of a cruise, maybe showing cars that could look like they are exceeding the speed limit - could the youtube poster or the cars in the video get into trouble (although there are not any number plates shown)????

hmmmmm :puzzle:

If you miss out the 'near Wetherby' WOT run I guess it wouldn't look too bad. If it looks <30 over the limit I can't see plod bothering.

Yet another big 'thank you' to Mark for a great day out, and to Tom, our leader, who showed us everything twice because it was so good. We missed the part after Whitby as we had trouble with a faulty petrol guage showing empty and requiring a trip to a petrol station even though we filled up before the start. We lost our group in the mean time and arrived at Hambleton Inn just in time for the replay of the Grand National. I've got a few pics (you can't have too many of lines of zd's on a nice day). Try to spot any that don't contain people staring under a bonnet on the lookout for a stray MAF.
We came up from Norfolk for the cruise and stayed on at a nice B&B for a couple of days. Found that you can also WALK around the countryside!
Hello to eveyone we met

my son did loads of videos of the cruise and with some great scenery and spirited driving. shame it may bring retribution onto us and especially Daz2626 who was in front. so unable to ever upload to youtube in case the boys in blue decide to send us a ticket, still sweating on the mobile speed camera on the way into Whitby.

I bought some magnetic strips painted estoril for my car (there may be posts from years ago from me about them). I have never used them.

Regarding the video - i have bever used youtube before for uploading a video. I edited one down to about 11 minutes and it was rejected - theres a 10 minute limit. So i can't be bothered re-editing. The lads at work enjoyed it.
