Well an interesting day in all:
The lowest temperature we saw was -9.5 and the best -2.5, it was a beautiful day, lots of clear skys and sun.
1 siezed brake caliper for me on the way there luckily stopped before it went up in flames as it was smoking!!!!!!, just throwing snow on my disc as Maurice, Malcolm and Jamezee where going past, must have been good snow as with a few goes at hammering the brake on seemed to go ok for the rest of the day.
Pulled up at the meet roof down window snapped vertically!!!!
Stopped at lights heater went cold!!!!!!
So thats 3 jobs for me!
Jamezee takes 1 up the rear from Swamper, luckily no one is hurt, 1 crumpled bonnet and some minor damage to a front bumper and 1 rear bumper damage and a lot of hurt pride.
This sort of weather really shows up any iffy bits on the cars and does not let any of us get away with anything out of the norm.
But a really good day with some great company as usual, a bit of repair work for a few of us then back to the cruising

It was indeed a great day out. Not without mishap and I really feel for Swamper and Jamezee but the people are safe and well and that is the main thing.
Thanks go to Jontymo for organising a tremendous route. Hopefully we will finish it some time soon.
Pics will follow shortly.
Also well done to all those with their roofs down. Far too cold and dangerous to the rear screen for us.

Would be nice to have this route as a regular one around may, as i dont think we have much going on then.

It should read Jamezee takes 1 up the rear from Swamper and Colettergf wrote:I'm saying nothing.jontymo wrote: Jamezee takes 1 up the rear from Swamper,
Glad you all enjoyed it in spite of the mishaps.
Not much snow there! We've got about 6inches here so although I am sorry I wasn't with you, I know I would have had dificulty locally.
See you all next week.
I never thought I would be posting that on here
Everyone is ok, the cars will mend
I think swamper and I will complete this route another day, Swamper leading of course
Thanks to everyone for concern and offers of assistance.

We will rearrange for sometime in spring when hopefully we will get a bit better weather and try to complete the full route without mishap.billz wrote:Would be nice to have this route as a regular one around may, as i dont think we have much going on then.

Hi Guys, i just read about your daytrip which looked good (other than the obvious bit).I was looking on ebay earlier and there is a silver z3 bumper for sale, think it was 6 days left and at £40 thought it may be of interest, sorry to hear about the accident though.I look forward to joining you and your cars at some point in future.....
To be honest i don't think there was, we were all being grown up and showing concern and to be honest did not even think of taking any piccies until the pun's started a little later!Jonttt wrote:Ok I'll ask then, are the no pics of the "crash scene" (for future educational purposes of course )
