BMW Show, Santa Pod, Sunday 10 July 2011

Post by Ian_C »

I've organised a zroadster area at the show for the last couple of years and am keen to do so again. Show details are here. There are some pics of last year's event here, the 2009 event here and the previous year's event (when we didn't have a stand) here

Those who have been before will vouch as to how good the show is due to the number and varied types of enthusiast owned BMWs on display. Make a date in your diary for this one - I'm sure you won't be disappointed. This year's show has been brought forward so there should be a chance of better weather.

We'll need 10 confirmed cars to get our stand. I'll coordinate this but you need to pay me your entry money in advance and as soon as possible. The entry fee is £13 per person (this will ensure we cover the booking fee and my costs for posting the tickets and stand passes to each of you too - anything left over will go towards the running of zroadster.net).

Register your interest on this thread and I'll pm each of you with payment details.

Confirmed and paid:
1. myredzed+1 >Red z3 2.8 roadster
2. peterandjenny >Black z3 2.8 roadster

if us northerners are going to have a cruise down the day before like last year then we need to make plans. The Premier inn on London Road we stayed in last year is coming up as not available for the 9th july :head:
can any of you locals suggest anywhere else , with a nice car park please.

I have an element of 'M-styling' on my car, If that's a good enough reason for the manufacturers to adorn a 320 with the M badge, then its certainly a good enough reason for me..

Shame that they're on the same day this year. I've been to both shows a few times and Santa Pod wins for me. As a NW region BMWCC member it was a bit of a dilemma however I always seem to get more out of the Santa Pod event. Personal choice and all that...

I have to agree with myredzed, the best show I went to was at Santa pod, having the chance to watch all sorts of metal battle it out on the drag strip (and even have a go yourself) adds a lot of enjoyment to the day, there is loads of good seating areas and the turnout is very good
