Kent Cruise Sunday 10th April

Post by Ragtop »

I have put together a route for a Zed cruise for Sunday 10th April.

The route is just under 90 miles and starts on the A21 at the Little Chef between Bewl Water and Flimwell. The route takes us through the Kent countryside right down to Dungeness Lighthouse and ends in Brenchley at a lovely real ale pub, the Halfway House. When I get an idea of numbers for lunch I will book some tables.

There will be a break at Dungeness where there is a cafe.

We will meet from 9.00am departing at 9.30am and expect to be at the pub for lunch at 1.30pm. Could you please let me know if you will need lunch and if so how many people.

Here is the route

Confirmed so far.

Ragtop & Gail + Lunch
Garythefish & Sandra + Lunch
Zedona & Penny + Lunch
z3steve & Helen + Lunch
Southcoaster + Hilary + Lunch
Hang-em-high + Samuel
GazHyde
Dave'z3 + Maria + Lunch
Mr Silver + Pauline

Hi Gary

It will be good to see you and Sandra again.

I am hoping Hang-em-high will lead the cruise in his Porsche.

I'm sure it will Larry - it's just a bit far for a 9:00am start!
We'll catch up with you again one day though
Hope you have great time!

Hi all, my first post (which is probably in the wrong place - should be in the newbie section) Anyway I live just up the road from the little chef on the A21 and myself (Steve,32) and the better half (Helen,29) would love to join up for a run around the Kent countryside!

I've been following this site since we bought our Z3 (Jan) and haven't even introduced myself, so sorry!

Anyway I'm off to compose a 'Hello I'm new and I have a Z3' topic.

See you all on the 10th - can't wait :)

P.s Book us a table for two lol

Hi Rag top

Sound like a good run any chance you have a planned route so I can have a look and explain to the other half where we will be driving

Thank you Ragtop, you are quite right - I live in Pembury just outside of Tunbridge Wells so it couldn't be more local if you tried!

Really looking forward to it - lets hope for a warm sunny day when we can have the top down and the sunshades on 8-)

Mind you it won't even need to be sunny looking at the yellow of your zed :D

Hey all, I've still got my mini and doubt I will have a z3 by then, but i was wondering if you guys would mind if I popped in at some point with my gf to meet you guys? Will have to check with the mrs and confirm but I'd like to meet people, admire your cars so I can get more of a definitive idea of what I want.

Cheers,

I suppose whilst he has the mini he could bring both, but what happens when he gets a Z3. :D

Dave what about if you met us at the lunch venue, you could have a good look at the various Zeds and chat to forum members. If you could confirm I could put you on the list for lunch also.

A bit too far for me I'm afraid but enjoy yourselves,

p.s. Just looked at the route and did a teaching practice at Cranbrook in Kent I see you are near there! They have a farm on site! Random info for you there!

Hi Ragtop, hope to make this trip. I just have to get her cleaned up and a bit respectable. I'll try and find time to clean the car as well! We may have to miss lunch this time around, don't know yet.

Best regards. Td.

Hi Ragtop,

Room for another? It's a bit of a treck for me at 333miles total round trip, but fancy a cruise if the weather is good.

There is a small chance I may have to drop out at short notice, but pretty confident I can make it.

It will just be me, and I won't stop for lunch (but might have a half before leaving!).

Ron, are there two Little Chefs near Flimwell on the A21?

I Googled it to get a postcode and it shows it at point B on the route?

One of them has closed. After you come of the short Lamberhurst bypass and go pass the entrance to Bewl Water it is less than a mile to the Little Chef on your left.

We have a clear blue sky here and have a forecast for a sunny day. :sunny

Could be a bit fresh at Dungeness as there is a east breeze.

Sun cream would be a good idea with our tops being off all day.

See you all later. :drive
