NW Classic-Vintage-Sports & Perf. Car Show, 26-27 March

Classic Car Show
26-27 March 2011

The North West's indoor Classic Car Show. The Classic-Vintage-Sports & Performance Car Spectacular.

Featuring 100 years of motoring with Classic, Vintage, Sports & Performance & Prestige cars along with Autojumble - memorabilia car mart & Specialist trade stands.

For more information please call 01565 723863 or visit www.cheshireautopromotions.co.uk

This is the first indoor classic car show held at Event City at The Trafford Centre in Manchester. It is being organised by the same people that run the Tatton shows and the Austin-Healey Club will be having a stand, so I will be there with my frog.

This is one event the weather should not be able to spoil, and is ideal for those with partners who are not interested in cars, as the Trafford Centre should provide adequate amusement for them!

If anyone wants to come along, please do come over and say hello.

Cheers R.

Hi Robert

Were you there today? Was it any good? - first shows at new venues are often iffy in my experience,
Thinking of perhaps calling in tomorrow.

Hi Mike,

Good turn out of cars today - all the allocated space was filled - 3 halls worth. Difficult to count the cars, but definitely several hundred. Venue is quite nice and considerably warmer than being outside.

Visitor numbers were not that good today - we are hoping for some more tomorrow - don't think it has been advertised well enough really - even the club organisers have only know about it since late Jan.

Definitely worth a visit, though you missed the cakes today. I'm afraid I can only offer biscuits tomorrow.

Hopefully see you there.

Cheers R.

Good to see you today, Mike. Hope you enjoyed your afternoon out. Today was the busier of the two days, and hopefully the next time they run it, they will do a bit more advertising upfront. It certainly shows promise as a show.

Cheers R.

Here's a few pics from the day - I know it's hard to believe, but there were lots more cars that I DIDN'T photograph!

Thanks for posting the photos Robert T.

Still one of my all time favorites, the Alfa Romeo Montreal.
Not sure about the cream hardtop on the red Austin Healey though.
What make of car is the white one, with the half glass roof and reg. ECC 486E?

Cheers, HT

Seems to be the standard colours for rally spec Healey. Looks better in the flesh, as my camera doesn't seem to like red under electric likes.

Took some finding, as I couldn't read the script, but it's a Lancia Flavia Sport - pic of a red one with a close up of the badge here.

Certainly some nice cars there. :)

Sorry, Jamezee. I would have posted it up weeks ago if I thought more people might have come along. It was non-BMW, so I didn't plug it very hard. My zed did go yesterday, but only as a support vehicle.
