Thanks to all those who attended.

We had a great laugh with you all and also had a brilliant driving weekend too - again!

The guys from Pistonheads certainly said some nice things after Sundays Dawn raid

Thanks Stu - have managed to get dial-up working at my folks place. Am priviledged to be number two to post about the Yorks Cruise.

Rachel and I had a fantastic couple of days and it's always a pleasure to meet somebody with such an extensive knowledge of farmyard machinery :-)

After what must have been hours of studying the bus routes last year, you really surpassed yourself this year Stu :-)

(for those that separated after lunch, Stu was doing well on the way back until we made a slight detour due to roadworks.... in the few miles of detour, we came across another couple of tractors :-) ).

More seriously, good routes... and some great bits of roads (especially the open bits where you can see round the bends).

Good weekend - and great to see the rest of you again.

Cheers,

John.

One to Remember!!!!

Post by Bryn »

Stu & Sylv,

I would just like to say that I have just had a truly excellent weekend and I am still grinning like a Cheshire cat :-):-) Good driving, Good food, and above all else Good Company :-):-)

Even all the agriculture vehicles we saw (and there were many) couldn't slow us down too much. Your choice of roads was great, however i am still trying to work out the mpg on 153.7 miles for a 51l tank

And for those of you out there wondering if Stu produced the goods on the dawn raid, just look at the piston head thread above

Pics to follow :-)

PS
Charlotte has impressed Mel so much, she is now adamant that she wants to drive her! :head: :head: (more chance of you doing a sedate Dawn raid  )

An absolute belter of a weekend!

we've been now on many cruizes and weekends in the last couple of years, but can honestly say this was the best Zed driving weekend I have had so far.

An absolutely stonking dawn raid, damn it was very very fast, fantastic company, plenty of sunshine and even the odd "local honey" made it a weekend not to forget easily.

698miles well spent!

I agree with wahta has been siad already, best on we have been on, I think that the size of the group was good and the people in the group.

Both Jane and I would like to thank Stu and Slyv for putting it together, for without people like them the whole thing falls apart.

top marks.
mainly on the road from rubber or grounding out.

cheers again simon & jane. :D

p.s. only just made it to the petrol station after leaving you all the computer had switched aff about 5 miles befroe

What an awsome awsome weekend, Stu and Slyv have done it again!!

Great company, great food, and great driving. Some of those runs were very fast and all were loads of fun. My ride in Giles' CSL was unreal, what a car! Allen got to do the dawn raid alone this year due to the "bimp", they had a real blast!

Will post pics very soon, I had no idea there were so many varieties of tractor. :D

It was great so see everyone, and those that weren't able to make it were sorely missed.

Thanks again Stu and Sylv!!!!
Cheers,

Sorry, but the maximum filesize for all Attachments is reached. Please contact the Board Administrator if you have questions. :head:

If anyone has any ideas while i wait for a reply from Tim then i am all ears :-)

As soon as this is sorted i will post

Just looking at the pics :D I live in lincoln and find country roads great around here apart from the annoying Farm machinery that tends too make great roads rather boring sometimes due to no safe overtaking opportunity's :head: But if you want twisting winding roads to sling your Z round it makes for great driving especially when the sun is out and the top is down :D

reduce image size

Post by BartS »

Bryn

I had the same problem with the pics taken on my DSC (3.2Megapixel) taken in highres mode

However, you have to reduce the picture size, and this can be done with a range of sofware programmes.

I don't have e.g. Photoshop but e.g the Finepix software that came with my Fujifilm camera allows me to do basic file reduction.

For the pictures that I uploaded, I reduced the filesize to 320 x 240 pixels (QVGA) which is small enough to post on the board and still pretty good quality as you can see.

If would imagine your camera and software provided will have a similar feature, if not, PM me and I can post them for you!

No problem guys. I kept a few of the shots that hadn't focussed properly as they were pretty good anyway :-)

Stu - a few of the originals could print quite nicely. I didn't know a Z had that much suspension travel :-)
