Cruise through France and Spain

Postby billz » Sun 15 May, 2011 18:57

Well we have started our cruise through France going along west coast to Bayonne then across and through the pyrenees then over to BArcelona, before heading upto the MIllau bridge and towards home. First stop was a place called Berk Sur Mer. Woke this morn had breakfast and decided to take zeddy to the beach for a photo. When we got there.we found one of his cousins. An arctic silver 1996 1.8 chatted to the French owner who was a really nice guy. Then on we went down to Saint NAzaire drove along the sea front to be followed by a Black z4 before passing a Titan silver Z3 who gave us a wave. upto now we have done 718 miles in 2days. Will keep an update as we go along and will post pics when we get back

Might not be the French could of been a forigner, travelling through France, but it is strange that it happened on French soil where the only cars are French and no other Forign plates around. Or could of been a Englishman back packing came across old zeddy in an hotel cat park surrounded by french cars n got too board

Not spotted anymore zeds since yesterday. We are now at a stop on the Spanish side right in the heart of the pyrenees, some absolutly wounderful roads, we are stopping in a valley right at the foot of a mountaim the scwnery is absolutly fantastic. Staying here till Friday then moving to just below Barcelona for 2 nights 800metets from beach then upto Millau on Sunday then back home. We have just completed 1300miles so far with another 1100 to go. All top down motoring except today due to the rain over the pyrenees.

Sorry to hear about the damage to Zeddy but know how you feel :(, they can be fixed so don't let it cast a shadow on what sounds like a great holiday :thumb:.

Jim that is the same way we went. Can vouch for the road, just watch out for the Guadia Servill. They were quite prominant when we got through tunnel, otherwise can do some proper driving along good mountain roads.
Got to admit has been brill roads.
Maurice not avn vino tonight as am on the beer now.
Prices are as follow
San miguel 1.80e
98octane 138e france 162/166e
Fags 41.50 superkings France around 54e
If you need to know owt else just ask.
Amount of fuel used around £400 for 1500 miles averaging 31to gallon

It's a shame this is happening to you Bill, I was a bit paranoid when we did our last trip through France and Spain but managed to find all accommodation with either underground secure car parks or paid extra for private garage. Sounds like it was a wise option to take.

We're all still jealous of you Zipping along with the top down on great roads and chilling out with a beer in the sun :sunny

Fantastic trip Bill I'm jealous. I'm going south of Granada in Aug & did the same last year.. Me & the lady love the adventure of long distance driving as i reckon you do too. its even better this year as airfare has skyrocketed. Have a blast over the bridge and turn around and go back again its only 2 euros...also the road north of the bridge (A75) is fantastic early in the morning :rtm:

Bill when you get to the other side go to the viewing area. When you're going over the bridge the view isn't the best because of it's structure but from the viewing area.

WOW !!!

You can grab a bite to eat/drink there too... :thumb:
