Aftermath - Berks/Oxon/Wilts/Glocs Cruise 29/05/2011

This was a fantastic trip. We initially started off with three confirmed, after several cars dropped out at the last minute. 10 minutes before leaving we were joined by Russell. New to the forum, he came along from Bedford on the chance of catching us!

I was really intrigued to notice a second filler cap on Russell's Zed and found that it had only just been LPG'd. Hoping he will be posting some pictures and details on that here. 77p per litre when he filled up before leaving home.

I was joined by my mate David as co-pilot. We also had Ragtop (Ron) & Gail, Zedona (Larry) & Penny and of course Russell!

We were further surprised at the halfway point just as we were about to leave, to meet Tom & Anna who popped by to say hello! Tom bought his Atlanta Blue 2.8. We had about 15 minutes to chat, before leaving them to have a look around Lydiard Park. Hoping next time they will be able to join us for a full cruise.

More pictures to follow. I lost my camera so had to my iPhone

Well done for organising Gary. A lot of work and effort went into it I can tell. I'm glad I made the effort to drop in at Lydiard Park and meet with everyone. I hope you enjoyed the pub lunch and the rest of the cruise!

Just got in and enjoying nice cup of tea.

Many thanks for organising a terrific cruise Gary. We enjoyed the lovely roads and scenery. :drive

As well as meeting past cruisers, Gary, Larry & Penny, it was good to meet David, Russell, Tom & Anna for the first time.

We had the top down from 6.20am and drove 368 miles with the roof off. :D

We will post some pictures later.

The route was superb, lovely driving roads little traffic, scenery and pretty villages .
You set a brisk pace not too fast not too slow.
New faces, as well as old friends, the others missed out, we had a great day. :D

Thanks to you Ron and Larry + the rest for coming!

Was a great day, thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm glad you liked my route. Was fun for me cruising some of my old stomping grounds too.

My mate David needs to convince his Mrs that he needs a Zed too 8-)

I haven't moved off the sofa since I got home. The Apple and Plum crumble was one pudding too far

I've started to feel a little guilty after buzzing that cyclist. Reminded me of the scene in Top Gun when Maverick buzzes the flight tower...

Can't wait to see some more pictures.
