Nice video Pingu, the camera bracket makes sense now. Glad you had a good day, the weather looked good for you too.

Some piccies of the damage to the old jallopy...

The side of the car was peppered with chuckies when I went in a gravel trap ...

Image

as was the wheel. The whole wheel looks like this...

My car is not a garage queen, so I'm not too bothered. I'd rather do more trackdays than get the paint sorted :D .

The paint will get sorted, but it is low on the priorities.

I got it right three times :D . Once was with the instructor. That was a proper off - I ended up with the car sat on its belly. The other two were detours across the grass, one sideways :D .

Tyres are good, but the fronts' outer edges are badly worn (not illegal). I've not measured the wear, but I'm expecting to have lost at least 1mm.

Brakes (redstuff pads on front, the rest is OEM) were not good. I had to brake long and easy. They didn't like hard and late. Also, I need to check the discs for warping.

Great fun, though and I can't wait for the next one - possibly Marham on 20 Apr.

No, this was pushing it. I was stuck behind the Lotus for three laps. I thought they were going to let me past, then :head: . I get past, then start pushing on...

This is not my video and may be deleted.

One of my three offs.

2:06 - I'm four cars in front of the camera car and start to drift left onto the grass.
2:09 - I'm on the grass.
2:14 - I rejoin the circuit and three cars overtake me on my right.
2:24 - I indicate right and move over to allow the camera car to overtake on my left.

Use slow-play/pause-play to see what happens...

Next time you're up for a pad change pingu I'd 100% recommend Ferodo DS2500s. You'd certainly see a huge benefit on the track but they're great for the road too.

Looks like you had a great time, I am very jealous! ;)

I don't have good experience of DS2500s, I got really bad judder with them and the dust is really bad. I prefer EBC Yellowstuff which are a good pad and cheaper too, or the high priced Pagid RS29.
