might look different in the low cloud with a 40 knot crosswind tho
I think a few of us worked hard on perfecting our crosswind landings last year during the drive across

(watch the blind crests some have a steeper drop than you expect...)

Have fun guys - I've got good memories from the Lakes for the last two years and will be hoping that the weather holds out for you.

Cheers,

John.

Just spoken to Specialist in Stevenage and the chief mech says the work HAS BEEN DONE and they are gonna get the wheel alignment tested and adjusted this afternoon. That's two and a half hours work apparently!

All done under warranty, thankfully.

So, it looks like The Zed will be back in time for the launch on Friday morning!

PHEW!

Who's a happy bunny?

Stu,

Do you need our food orders today?

Or if we take the buffet option do we need to tell you that aswell?

Food Order needed for Saturday please

I am dismayed that I have tweaked my back, so much so that I am walking like a crab, and depressing the clutch pedal is uncomfortable, to say the least.
I regret that I will not be able to make the Lakes this year :bawl:
To add insult to injury, I have lost the deposit on the reserved room :head: but I suppose that may not be all bad if anyone is looking for a last minute vacancy.

Enjoy, I will be with you in spirit, and will be off to the chiropodist err no I mean chiropractor shortly

Sympathy.
That's really sad Dave.

I've hurt my thumb too.

But I don't think that'll stop me....

Hi Guys,

I wonder how many are still around that attended this run? It is a memorable weekend.

If there is anyone still around, does anyone have the routes? The last day in particular?

Great if you have, I would like to redo the last day.

Thanks,

Hey tags...Yeah, I'm still hangin' around the old joint!
I just read through some of the old posts on this thread, remembering some of those names that were such good friends back then.
Ahhhh....nostalgia, eh?

I'll have a look, see if I can dig out the routes, but I think the last day was a spur-of-the-moment decision so might not be documented.
Boy what a trip that was! Clinging on for dear life round those incredible lake-side twisties!
Not particularly high speed, but close second and third gear work which I really enjoy.
Definitely one of my favourite Zed days ever, and there've been quite a few!
If you can find Spokey (facebook perhaps?), he'll definitely remember the route. :nerd:

Cheers!

Hey Alfie,

Good to see you still knocking about in here. I remember the last day be went through a national trust park and ended up in Tebay at which point a lot of folk headed off home.

I will see if I can look up any of the old members...Just realised that that was 10 years ago!

Hi tags.

I turned out all my old paperwork and searched old computers, but can't find any route details about Lakes 05.
Plenty of photos  but no routes..... Sorry.
You could try a PM to Giles who organised that event. I think he pops in here occasionally.

However, I did find the TomTom .itn files for 'Lakes 09' which was a Zedcars.eu event.
Let me know if you want me to send those on to you.

Cheers.

Hi Tags
I returned to the Lakes last year with fond memories of these trips, however you forget how narrow the roads are when you're not in a zed!!
I nice weekend but had way more fun heading out from the Lakes..

Whilst road biking on quiet roads around the Lakes in 2014, I kept thinking this would great Zed cruising country with Mrs KF.......and a lot easier! On my return I mapped our routes on a purpose made OS map for future use. So last weekend we set sail in the Zed, posh hotel in Grassmere booked, and had three fantastic days touring top down, blue skies and sunshine! All the lakes, plus Kirkstone, Hardknott, Wrynose, Honister and Newlands Passes.......driving doesn't get much better than this in my books :drive.
If anyone wants any pointers to some nice quiet roads feel free to PM me :thumb:
