Never happens to me round here; they're a miserable lot. :( Went out in my son's Honda S2000 for a five mile warm-up run and got waved at almost immediately! If I'm out in my Westfield - rare these days as it's SORNed for track days only - it always happens even from Caterham owners and Fisher Fury owners too. Kit car cameraderie... :)

I got a flash from a Z3 the other week - I waved back, as flashing may have induced chaos at the roundabout ahead.

I get acknowledgements from a few Z3s round here, but the majority of Z4 owners just seem to ignore you. Better than the Audi drivers though, who seem to think they own the road...

Completely different story if I go out in the Frog - even people not in cars will will wave and small children point at it and follow it down the street. :D The Audi drivers still seem to think they own the road. They would be better off thinking that my brakes aren't going to be as good as theirs and that I might have a bit more trouble stopping when they pull out on me.

Cheers R.

Z4 flashed the headlights at me today ............................. :) :D
I flashed me rear brake lights a few times just in case they checked the rear view mirror.

Saw 5 zeds this weekend (one at a time, not all together). Waved to a blue one in Hale Barns, but would probably have been confused as I was passenger in the frog. Would have waved at the others, but not much point from the back seat of a 1er.

Cheers R.

Hi all. Yes - It is a bit like when I am out cycling on one of my Italian Beauties - a fully restored and totally refurbished genuine Italian Framed Benotto Modelo 850 or my Bianchi Via Nirone7 Alu Carbon.
There really are some out there that either should not be driving/riding because of serious sight impairment or are to miserable to even acknowledge a fellow enthusiast of the marque and in the case of cycling and in my particular case - recognition of an old sod (70 yrs young) that can still get out there and turn the pedals at a decent pace.
Happiness is a well kept Z3 and preferably running with the hood down - weather permitting.
