Hi *newbie alert*
Hello,
I've just joined the site after buying an Alpina Roadster S Lux, 2 weeks ago.
A bit of background - I used to own a Toyota MR2 turbo for 4.5 years, spent lots of money modifying it, and had a great time doing so. I'm also a Committee Member and Treasurer on the IMOC (International MR2 Owners Club) forum.
I don't have any plans to modify this, there's no need! Although I will be replacing the BMW badges for Alpina ones
A couple of pics of the old car...
And a couple of pics of the new one...

That is one gorgeous car Leon me like alot
Am I right in thinking it's a 3.0 with some Alpina tweaks making almost as fast as the ///M but more exclusive.

I like rare things, and there's only ~170 RHD Alpina Roadsters in the world!
It's a 3.4 lump built by Alpina, producing ~300 bhp and ~270 ft.lbs torque. It's considerably lighter than the M, so the ~40 bhp difference equates to effectively the same 0-60 sprint time. At higher speeds the M would move ahead, and on track too.aceman wrote:That is one gorgeous car Leon me like alot

Alpina, made most of these limited numbers pre ///M Z4's hitting production. They were like hot potatoes for people wanting ///M performance from a Z4 (remember there was lots of anti hype from BMW that there would be no Z4m roadster )
I know of a high end lease company which had c15 on its fleet. They were all sold through one of their directors from a barn in cheshire (thats were my neighbour got his from and why I see 3 of these rare cars around Warrington).

Welcome to the forum Leon, great choice of Z4, I don't think I have ever seen an Alpina round my parts, very nice. I bet its different to the MR2 but always had a soft spot for them as I had a AW11 MK1 T bar from 1992 to 1996, wonderful motor and the only car I have ever spun 360 Went from that to the MR2 Roadster and just couldn't live with it, just wasn't the same as the Mk1s and 2s.
