Just bought my first z3! Let the good times role...
Hi everyone!
I have been looking around for a z3 for 3 months scraping the used car websites everyday. Yesterday i went for it, after this last scorching hot weekend i couldnt stand it any longer!
I pick it up tomorrow its:
1.9 1997 (p) Navy with beige interior, 75k on the clock.
No dent or rust at all but a fair few minor scratches which i over looked as it is 13 years old.
I paid £2999 which i thought was a fair price (which meant i didnt have to trade or sell my vw lupo to get it)
Part sevice history though and tbh i didnt know what the hell i was looking for when i popped the hood. Just took the risk. There was a guy waiting to put £500 down on it if i didnt want it and he hadnt even seen it...
Overall apart from the wear and tear expected from a car this age it looks pretty sound. Not a show car..... yet....
When i was looking for a z3 i always had the colours silver and atlantic blue in mind but montreal blue? is what i ended up with and i think i prefer it now (well i've got to really )
Anyway just wanted to say hello and that im very grateful for this forums presence! I think it will make zed life alot easier
Robin
I will upload photo's soon...

I love Z3's!! So much fun!
I was out all day yesterday, spent £20 on fuel but well worth it! I also got called a puff twice - but thats maybe because i was playing Wham at the time (an 80's mix cd)...
Thanks for the info Titan... its definately Montreal Blue.
I really never thought i would own a z3... always liked them ever since James Bond. If i hadnt of split from my LT girlfriend i would've never bought one.
Overcast today... as long as its not raining the roof will be down

Photo's of my new Z3 :)
Took a few days but thats because ive been out driving it
Originally i thought the exhaust had a hole in it and i was slightly gutted that i hadnt spotted it before i bought. Then i realised it was supposed to make that sound as it is a Schnitzer exhuast.
What do you think? Might install some clear side repeaters and the bmw badge on the bonnet is starting to bubble.
Cheers
