rear window became unzipped

Post by samelsy »

HI

Does anyone know where i can get a zipper from to rezip my rear window or what size zipper to use. I have many instructions on how to zip up and re-seal but cant seem to get the right size zipper. Its fiddly but managed to get the zippers on but none of them close the zip. :(

Thanks

Ideally you need someone who has fitted an OEM replacement screen themselves as the kit includes the required zipper.

I have one but its in storage with my car.

They do occassionaly come up for sale on eBay but for stupid money :head:

TRY THIS LINK

OR - I suspect if you go to a local haberdashery shop you could probably buy a full zip with same fastener and just run it off the end of the new zip.

Hi All

Thx for your responses. I have tried all manner of zips including a continuous coil size 5, if anyone out there has a zip they have used for this purpose then i would be grateful if you could send it to me of course i will reimburse postage and return it promptly. I have contacted a BMW dealer here in guernsey but not very helpful other than they will order a new window for me!!! :head:

Thx hopefully

Sam
