two questions...
will the 1.9 provide enough thrills to prevent me selling it to buy another bike in summer?
whats the average age of you guys on here?

welcome to the forum mate. I started with a lovely 1.9 and did everything to it , chipped, strut brace, k+n filter etc and it was fantastic, the only thing is you have missed the summer so will have to wait to REALLY enjoy it.

Hi Dave
Welcome to the forum. I think you will find the Zed will give you a new lease of life.
There is no better feeling, as Toad said, as life on the open road with the top down with the wind spoiling your hair instead of a helmet! 8-)
We are on our 2nd Zed now and with endless holidays in France in this marvelous little car behind us, we wouldn't change it for the world :D

cheers guys
yeah i thought i liked a bit of spirited driving until i took my new toy (owned 1 day) to show my bmw owning mate
he thrashed it down a single track country road , i swear i kissed the ground when i got out,, my baby wont be driven like that very often , well not by me !!

love the exhaust note it has a really nice growl (?) at 5k plus but is completely civil at lower revs

Quick question, who did you use for the engine chip? did you also do the sport CAT?

Welcome to the forum Dave, your car looks very nice indeed.
I also have a 1.9, it is great fun. I'm sure you'll love yours too.
It's a shame that you'll have to wait a few months now to enjoy warm top down days, but it's still good on sunny winter days too (just be very careful that you don't crack the plastic rear screen if you have the roof down when it's very cold!)
My car is totally standard spec, but it is certainly lively enough.
As for average age on here, I don't know about that, but I'm 43, balding & not as in shape as I once was, so don't feel alone on that score! ha ha!
Pretty much everything you'll need to know can be found on this site, so you're in good company.
Enjoy!

Just read it

I remember turning my DSC off once on a run and pulled out from a T junction turning right, it snaked all over the road

I did a 180 turn in a carpark, the front right wheel remained on the spot :P
