Hi, new member here :o)
Hi everyone,
I bought a Z3 a few months a go and though it was about time I said hello to fellow Z owners, Hi
Its a Topaz blue 1.8 Z3 2000, so the baby of the Z3 family, just what I wanted. I got a great deal on it and have already done a few bits and bobs, I had to change the rear screen, I replaced a bling gear knob with a genuine bmw M item, I've also serviced it (oil/filters/coolant) and changed the disks and pads. I also fitted a new stereo (with matching blue screen display ).
I've done about 1k miles in it since I got it and I must say, its slighly nippier than I thought it would be and it doesn't handle all that badly (I was expecting the worst given what a few friends/haters had said), its also super economical, I was very surprised at this too.
It's not my first BMW, I've had a Z4 2.5si and a R56 jcw mini. I wanted the Z3 as a second car, for comfy cruising through the lakes with the top down, I've always had a soft spot for the styling, which is where its at for me with the Z3, its wonderful. The blue interior I was planning to change, but its grown on me very quickly so its staying!
So heres to many years of looking after a lovely little car, some (poor) pics:
I also have a mesh wind deflector but I'm missing one of the tenax holding points and both the the hook clips, so its useless at the moment (parts 2 and 3 on the realoem diagram), bmw have discontinued both items too. So I'm going to have to improvise unless I can find some for sale via the forum.

Hi Chris, welcome to the forum. Cracking looking car, it looks really great - liking the blue but I'm biased. You're in a great part of the country to enjoy top down motoring next year - if we get a summer that is.
