Newbie from East Sussex

I have spent the last fourteen years hankering after a Z3 and now I have finally been and gone and done it. She is a year 2000, 2.0 six and has been cherished by her former owners so only sports 57k miles and is in amazing condition which is more than can be said for me! I had a very brief flirtation with an MX5 VT sport that was a miserable experience but I am ok now. How I got diverted is a long story but suffice to say that the car I now have, was one I searched long and hard for, gave up, bought the MX, regretted it and then continued looking for the right Z3. Well, I have finally arrived so it's a big hello from East Sussex and merry xmas to you all.

Hi and thank you for the warm welcome. I have tried to upload a pic but some sort of quota has been exceeded and can't work out (for now) what I need to do. Will try again later.

Wavesong, read the article on uploading pictures. You need to download them to a host site such as photobucket then copy and paste them to your thread. :)

Hi and welcome to a great forum, enjoy the Zed even when it's cold, a nice brisk spin with top down blows all those cobwebs away :-)

Hi Wavesong and welcome to Zed ownership. Like you I'd admired them from afar for too long then got mine 3 1/2 years ago - they are great fun.

Yours looks mighty fine, and that rear screen looks in good clear condition. Just a note of caution here, avoid putting the hood down whilst it is cold (say less than 10 c) as they can be brittle and prone to splitting - I did this ! Let the heater build up some heat in the car before dropping the top down, then it's great fun on a nice fine dry winters day.

Happy Zedding, Enjoy :)

Wow, I was in Burwash just this morning visiting a friend; I didn't know we had any forum members from that neck of the woods.
I'm originally from Heathfield... only moved away a year ago, and was back there last night for a little pub 'excursion' with friends.

Hi guys, 35 odd years ago I worked for a while at the Golden Produce chicken processing plant in Burwash. I was installing electrical bits. my god that was an experience. Walking through the lines you got goosed and groped by the women process workers. Is the plant still there?

Bonzo.

It closed about 25 years ago.
Now a cheese factory!

Think the "old girls" are now out to pasture!
