Soon to be Z3M owner

Post by IanM Z3M »

Hi all, I have just put down a deposit for a 2000 Z3M, just waiting (impatiently) a couple of weeks for the dealer to spruce it up for me! I am working my way around what looks like a helpful and friendly site. For now, does anyone have any recommendations for a suitable decent-quality 'indoor' cover? Probably the first of many novice-like questions....Thanks.

Welcome and congratulations on your impending purchase. Classic additions do a very nice tailored indoor cover in a variety of colour options, you can have the bmw logo on the front etc also. It's a really nicely made item with pockets for the wing mirrors. I'm really pleased with mine and it's certainly worth the investment if you're keeping your car.

Drive it like you stole it and be prepared for the the bills. I'm suffering the bills side at the moment, but it was worth it :D .

Hi, it's probably a "facelift" 2000 model year ? It's not easy to tell unless you know what to look for as most changes are under the skin eg upgraded airbag system, roof interior lining is the easiest to spot difference

Thanks for the feedback. I don't have the paperwork yet but think it was built in 1999 and registered in March 2000. I've found my way to the M via an MGB Roadster and a VW Camper Van! I'll give the Classic Additions website a visit, but a quick scan looks promising.
