  Z3 roadster 1.9

Hello

Post by ansemic »

Hello everyone

Got my first Z3 just over a week ago and haven't stopped smiling since. Sold my Toyota Yaris, bought for my daughter to practice driving in, and got a fun car. I always wanted an MX5 and was all set to buy one until I read about chassis rail rot. Googled the alternative, which turns out to be a Z3, a car I'd never have considered.

My own Z3 is a manual 1.9 in Artic Silver.

I also own a 1958 Austin A35 which I've had for 7 years. The difference between 30bhp and 140bhp is certainly noticeable!

Z3 jobs done include oil change, new wind deflector and cd player. Z3 has a slightly lumpy idle which I am reading up on. I also need to replace the seat bushes and replace the missing tweeters.

Looking forward to the rest of the summer with the top down

Mike

Hi Mike, welcome to the fold. My first car, in 1967 was a 4 door 1957 A35, christened 'Belinda.' Her body was 50% filler and her oil 50% sawdust, but my girl friend and I loved her, and in her! We had many adventures in her, rolling down the side of Box Hill in Surrey, seeing one of our hubcaps overtake us as we braked for a traffic light, being T-boned at a cross roads. parking up at what we thought was a secluded spot for a bit of canoodling, only for about 50 cars to come driving past us the other way from a function, their headlights lighting up the interior of our car. After she went I got a Mk1 ford Escort 1100. I did feel flash!

:cheers

Bonzo.
