I had sport one, Topaz Blue.
Plenty about really. I wonder if they were a lot cheaper when new or was it perceived fuel savings that drove new sales of these?

I had one too individual edition in Sapphire Black with Red hood. Recently part exchanged it after 10 years. Cracking car which I've missed it since.

I recall Parker's review at the time of my purchase said it was arguably the best of class/range as it had the straight 6 engine which meant it was more nippy than the 4 pot variants & had a terrific sound whilst it was not as fuel thirsty as the 2.8/3.0 & also cheaper to insure than the bigger engine. That was what swayed my decision at the time.

I bought mine to replace my little 1991 MK1 MX5 which is still going strong and only did 185 miles last year.
The car is very different from the normal point and squirt little two seaters and that is what I like about it.
