When summer comes around again and I get ready to take the hardtop off, I'm going to try the same technique with hardtop on/off - I'll post pics if they come out OK

Two pics taken from exactly the same spot, one with bonnet open, one with bonnet closed. In an image program (I use Paintshop Pro) paste 'bonnet closed' pic over 'bonnet open' pic. Then I used the 'transparency' tools to 'rub away' at the upper pic to reveal the lower picOxford_gruen_II wrote:Love the 3rd photo. How do you do that??

Would be great to see how it turned out.

If you send me a couple of pics I'll have a go at it - I think I still have all the transparency settings I used for mine.Oxford_gruen_II wrote:I am going to take the photos when I next wash and polich the Zed. Try and get the open & closed pics taken from as close to the same position, angle, distance etc as possible - tripod is obviously ideal, but I managed mine without.

Yeah! And I had to move in between to put the bonnet up!!! I used chalk marks on floor to get my feet in the same place, elbows jammed into my waist to get the camera in roughly the same position - the neighbours thought I was a right idiot!smartypants wrote:You did that without a tripod? That's even more impressive.... i will enlist the help of my housemate then!

Cheers R.
If anyone is down that way I'd recommend a stop by. It's not often you get to drive down an F1 straight that's seen the likes of Fangio, Clark, Brabham and Hawthorn in action. A lot of the buildings are still there (though paint is peeling and largely overgrown now) and it's very atmospheric.
