Dunno, but I agree - the roof ties the colour scheme together nicelysmartypants wrote:LOL
Funnily enough that's what I thought silver/blue works very very well. Blue roof is a really nice touch... is that on special editions only? Orinnoco or something?
From what I can see, and having talked to the dealer here, the original owner ordered pretty much all the options he could when he bought it (2002) so maybe the colour-coded roof was part of that?

100% agree! There are so many photogenic aspects of the car, the grills, the aggressive rear arches, the front kidney grill, the badge in its own right. The rear on the Z3M with its 4 pipesPhoenix Nights wrote:I'm loving the angles used here. Shh! But, BMW used to make fighter planes, and the roundel is supposed to represent a propeller spinning against a blue sky. Shh! Shh! Don't mention the war!Phoenix Nights wrote:Those side gills are one of the features that drew me to the Z3 world in the first place - reminds of the engine stubs on a World War Two fighter.

Yeah, very nice.
Makes it look like Lady Penelope's Roller is parked next door!

I like the reflection of the MGF's wheels in the Z3 gills in the last shot...Robert T wrote:And MG F's too, apparently!

I have just bought a set of these off ebay and am fitting them tomorrow. 7.5j fronts and 8.5j rears with nearly new f1's all round (previouss property of Caledonian).
I needed some tyres on my car because the fronts were age cracking and I fancied biggr wheels that were similar to my style 42 16'' cross spokes.

That was mine - I told you it couldn't be difficult if I managed itsmartypants wrote:I thought I'd have a go at that "see through bonnet" style of pic someone else had on here (apologies to who it was).... its quite easy to get some good results actually!
Nice pic, it looks great - almost like smoked glass! I want to do one with the hardtop on/off too...once all this white stuff goes

Talking of planes...this is part of my previous existence. A little quicker than the Zed but not as comfortable!

Check the "bmw identity card" under the bonnet...
Very nice car.
