Very nice, Komis. Is that the Glasgow "opera house" by any chance? And where were the "new" ones taken? That surely isn't this country is it? And is the "new" one any better?

Cheers R.

Oh, is that what you call it. Been past it a few times when I was working up there. It's a conference centre isn't it?

Indeedlydoodly the discerning lecturer's sportcar of choice (although I wouldn't say no to a silver 60's 507 either) :)

Some of the pics were taken in Glasgow (yes, it is the "armadillo" conference/concert venue) and some in Greece. I have more from France, Germany, Switzerland and Italy but I've posted some in other threads :)

I'm still in Scotland but decided to leave the "new" Z with my parents in Greece.. I will only see it in the summer and xmas for the next couple of years :bawl:

As I live in the city centre I don't really need a car and don't use the Z too much, so I'd much rather it rests in mild weather over the winter than rot in this dampness. I was thinking of getting a replacement old Z for Glasgow but then I realised I'd start loving it too and worry about it, so I prefer to remain carless at the moment.. I couldn't love anything else. I'm currently being tempted by a 735i though :)

Be careful! I had a 735iL a couple years back, and had nothing but problems with the electrical system on it playing up. Have had the same comments many times from other previous 7 series owners. Cost me thousands in repairs each year.

I swore I would never own another BMW after that, BUT here I am... And very happy with my choice. Although, theres not as much to go wrong with a z3 compared with a fully featured 7 series.

I was even reading in a car magazine that the 7 series won the "most unreliable car of the year" award. Not to my surprise.

Interesting that. I had a 750iL (E38) and although the dealer couldn't fix a minor but nagging front suspension issue, it wasn't particularly troublesome on the electrics front. I'd have another one in a heartbeat.
