Hamish the S50 Z3 ///MR

Post by ///M_aniac »

The sun came out today in Belfast. Hamish got a sponge bath and chamois dry before Conor and Mairead went for a blast. :) I haven't managed to detail him properly yet :( but managed to take some snaps while we were out and about. :D Think you'll all agree he's presentable.

I give you Hamish :P Enjoy!

Conor

Wow! He looks in incredibly good condition.

The paintwork looks creamy and everything's so clean inside and under the bonnet.

Definitely a real find.....and what a GREAT colour combo even down to the RED roof!

Congrats again.

Thanks Gary. We were just driving home when the sun was setting. Unfortunately the camera was full of snaps so couldn't take anymore until I got them transferred to PC and deleted from memory card.

There will be other opportunities though. Summer is nearing. :P

I had a wonderful time yesterday driving Hamish. Thought it was brilliant. He looks absolutely beautiful too. Enjoyed overtaking cars and not worrying about having enough power to overtake in time. Conor looked very hard for his ///M and having seen it in the flesh I know he has done really well.

Hamish is a real man. :D

OG11 is sitting in the drive way waiting on a buyer. :(

She will need to go soon as it's breaking Conor's heart looking at her every day knowing she will need to go to another home.

The exhausts I believe are Scorpion. It also cost an additional £75 on insurance when Conor declared these were on the car.

I wanted something different Steve, and as I wasn't a fan of black or silver thought Imola would be a good bet. It was. :P

I was looking at Estoril too, but they are already well represented.

Thought they were just ok when I was looking at photos of the car on the dealers web site. Now, having seen them up close they're not bad at all. I kinda like the look and polishing them up when washing it.

Sounds great Stu - a lot deeper than the 2.0 I can tell you. Almost deafening at 1500 rpm in 5th!! Ok in terms of noise above this engine speed.

Again thanks. Your opinions are appreciated.

Correct guess, Chris. :)

Thanks for the recommendation Dr Komis.

Was talking to Dad about most ///M owners I know getting a weighted gear knob but was telling him I'll just keep Hamish as he is in that regard. The illumination is funky. :P

Yes mate. Wee mini - cruise indeed. :P Four good friends out enjoying the dry weather and the Zeds. I had just gotten out of work a few hours earlier, was tired and just needed a run in Hamish to clear my head.

I'm surprised I was able to stay in front of P knowing the speed she drives at (and the way in which she always overtakes the cruise leader)!

Cheers Sandy. Appreciate it.

Yes, G. Got Bernard to do it in Belfast. I bought parts needed and he charged £75 + VAT on lab. Terrific value. A 1/3 of the price BMW wanted. :P

Also, found that the fuel filter had not been changed on his earlier Inspection II - and this is a car fully serviced - until now - by the retailing BMW dealer. I mean $tealer.
