thanks, glad you like the pics. The wheels are AC Schnitzer type 2 alloys, 18" rims.
I think (but thats just my opinion) they look superb, and really suit the car especially when the hard top is fitted, and I've never heard anything but compliments about them.
The last pic is a lake in Wales between Porthmadog and Barmouth, Sat-Nag took me past it!! I have tried google-earth and cant identify it. There were no other cars on that road or by the lake, just turned lots of wonderful twisty corners and it appeared, Took our breath away it was so picturesque and on a wonderful sunny day with the roof down. Doesnt get any better than that!

The wheels look great against the Titan Silver, not normally a fan of darker wheels but those do look nice.
I don't know why that pic is so familiar, then I realised when you said Barmouth that I stood at that spot when I was 8 in 1973, spooky. I have a pic somewhere standing on the other side of the wall. Happy days.

No matter what you say, with the chrome roll bars, angel eyes and headlamp wash - it looks terrific.

WOW your zed looks the absolute dogs nuts!! just got enough of that modern touch to it without spoiling the classic looks, one of the best looking z3's i've seen in a long while!
where did you get the angels from, i'm looking to get a set to fit in the autumn, there's such a variety of suppliers and prices out there

the angels were from ebay, about £45 with postage, I fitted them myself, (15mins on gas mark 3!!) been on the car about 8 months now, and no problems at all with them. Must say thanks, to everyone for the favourable comments,

I bought one from ebay america, and when it came it was rubbish, Didnt fit properly, had webbing straps that were too long, and just didnt look right. Dont know if it was the Schnitzer chrome roll bars, maybe they are different sizes and angles to the BMW ones, so I thought I would try it myself
I set to work with a large piece of cardboard and some scissors, made a more 'fitted' template, then drew around it on some perspex, and with a jigsaw, a sheet of sandpaper for the edges and 15minutes later, the trial part was finished.
Drilled some holes for some discreet silver cable ties, and fitted it. Considering it was just a trial part, it has never made me feel the need to replace it!!

Looks great, there is nothing like making something that does just as good a job. I nearly ordered the clear perspex deflector off e-bay but changed my mind at the last minute and went for the Standard BMW one. Glad I did now as it sounds like they don't fit too good. Only downside is you can't zip the middle section out to clean the hood recess. Great job done though.
If you order anything from the states on e-bay just be careful of customs duty. Just received my chrome brake light cover and been stung for 25 quid import duty so proved an expensive buy . I forgot to ask the seller to put it down as a gift, if that would make any difference?

I too spent chidlhood says around Barmouth, Porthmadog and Blaenau Ffestiniog.
I think you'll find the lake is Llyn Mair between Tan Y Bwlch and Maentwrog
