My new Zed is here
My new Zed is here
I finally got round to taking some pics. It's not as clean as I would have liked but hey sunny days are for driving.
The stuff you can see on the tyres is goose poo by the way.
Don't know if you can see but the brake disks are drilled, is this standard?
Will take some more if I can ever stop driving it.

Mystery thing!
Pardon my ignorance but am just curious to know what that yellow thing is next to the left of the gear shift.....! Am I missing an accessory for mine!?
It locks the gear lever in reverse. Not sure how efective it is though, proably more of a visual deterent rather than actually stopping someone from stealing the car if they were determined. It does have a tracker fitted so previous owner was keen on security, or paranoidjavascript:emoticon('')
Yes it was a bit early for a post. Thats my excuse for replying to my own post twicejavascript:emoticon('')

I have one of these fitted to my "other" car - and it is welded to the chassis so when it is on and the car is in first gear it ain't going anywhere - quite good as you can't forget to take it with you - but it is only as strong as the loop on the padlock - I also have a ruddy big steering wheel lock too - but then it has no electronics to fit an immobiliser too!Desiro wrote:It locks the gear lever in reverse. Unless yours is actually secured to the propshaft tunnel underneath the console, then it isn't going to do a lot, but as you say it will put would-be thieves off as they will simply go for an easier target. Never seen one on a zed before, so quite interesting.
Cheers R.

Thanks for all the replies guys
Interesting to see drilled disks are not standard fit on ///MR either. The pads have a bright green back too, also unusual or maybe not??
To answer Justin Times question: Yes I may buy a short shifter, perhaps the heavy one which I have read about on here. I think it helps with the notchy gearbox between first and second.
Will definately make a meet sometime, I can talk Zeds all day since I got mine. Think I'm driving the wife crazy
