The new door cards are a bit lighter in colour but I think they still match, ill upload some picture you can tell me what you think. They probably match the colour of the car better than the colour of the seats

I like the idea of the journal thing. Must do something myself when I can work out how to get the hyperlink to enlarged images bit workingKatie_K wrote:Following in the footsteps of Yalden and his fab journal here is my effort now I have started doing bits to her. New door cards, you can see the colour isn't exactly the same but its not to bad. Matches the car better than the seats hummmmmm
New head unit fitted and Ipod in the smallest glove box in the world
Sub in boot, not much room for anything else
And these we tried today I have been looking at getting some new rims and I wanted to see what 19's looks liked. If they would be to big etc
I really dont think they look to large, not the best wheel for a z3m imo but size wise ???
And to finnish some nice pics taken at bluewater

Looking good Katie. I think CSLs really suit the z3 although you would need to lower it. Look at this thread for how good the car can look with a more appropriate ride height: http://www.zroadster.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=13267

Those 19" wheels and that ride height make it look like a SilverCross pram.
I quite like the Shadowchromes.

Looking good Katie... I think a Z3 can pull off 19's, providing it's lowered. I guess the downside is that you may not have the ability to chuck it around the lanes as much as you could, or at least not without rubbing on your arches.
I think 18's are a great compromise, you should contact Claus @ Felgen Garage

That car looks sport on, i still had two 17's on the other side thats why it was riding rather high lolmyredzed wrote:Looking good Katie. Personally I would stick with the S54 wheels though, for me they are a real ///M Z3 signature.
I do like the wheels i have on, i just crave something a bit different
Im thinking ill go with 18's im not bloody loaded Yalden lol well Paul is paying but I dont think he would appreciate it hummmmm he might doyalden wrote:I think 18's are a great compromise, you should contact Claus @ Felgen Garage
I has the same problem having a very very good system in my old car and trying to fit it in the Zed, the major issue being i would never get my normal subs in there.
I bought 2 x elimential designs sq 10s. One in the boot and one behind the passenger seat. I found i couldn't hear the one in the boot.
I then got 2 x focal utopia 13ws one behind each seat and as good as they were for sq, Just wasnt getting the output from 2 x 5" drivers.
So i now have a jl 13.5tw5 behind the passenger seat which only just fits and is not very practical... thus asking about your sub in the boot and i was considering moving it but think it'll just vibrate the lid .

Felgen Man is not cheap... but I don't see many alternatives if you were to go the euro split rim look, as per what I'm after! I am looking at placing an order with him next month to order new inners and outer dishes, the figure is well into the 4-digit mark.Katie_K wrote:Im thinking ill go with 18's im not bloody loaded Yalden lol well Paul is paying but I dont think he would appreciate it hummmmm he might do
There's a VERY VERY nice set of 18" BBS LM's (genuine) on ebay at the moment, perfect fitment, virtually brand new! Zac Norr from Staines is selling them, he runs a splitrim company... he's asking £1500 but you could try and knock him down, especially as they're one of the best looking rims on the market!

Awesome, I should never have doubted you by presuming you may have bought 'reps'... apologies! CH's suit a Zed perfectly, the fact you went for 19's will make yours stand out that little bit more and imo look spot on! I'd be tempted to drop it 20-30mm or so but after that... what more is there to do on a z3m?

I think so too, when i put my 18s on it looked alot better than standard but i knew it would look so much better lowered. I dropped mine 30mm and it really does make a difference. 30 was the max for me so i dont think i would go more than 20 on yours. The spacer hub kits on ebay for the rear are very good value for money as well. think mine was about £50 but looks and drives better. cars looking great.

It strangely feels better, a lot more grounded and solid for mejonttt wrote:
How is the ride with 19 inch rims ?
Nope it doesn't, but it probably would benefit from one at some pointstu wrote:Does the Simota need a re-map Katie?
I came in with a bit of a stroke of luck on that one, I wasn't looking for one but it just got offered to me at the right pricePERRIN Z3M wrote:Where did you get the induction kit from ie was it second hand or has someone got some for sale as i have been waiting for months for Evolve to get back to me.
Cheers everyone I do love the wheels they do look spot on and the car seems to have settled real nicely. No urgency for a drop but eventually may still do a small one
The simota sounds lovely gives a real nice roar at the higher revs
