Wheels Refurbished - detailed pictures
Hi Guys n Gals
As promised, some pictures of my refurbished wheels.

I was unsure about the choice of colour and hoped I'd made a wise choice.
Having seen the results, I'm delighted with the new look.
It is the same black chrome that we used on the mini but the more angular Type 78 spokes give a different effect.
It's a dynamic colour similar to pearlescent(?) paint in the way the shadows and highlights change with differing viewing angles.
I like it, if you don't, choose a different colour

Thanks DesiroDesiro wrote:Looking good Titan
You have done enough to convince me I'm booked in for 4 new boots and a wheel refurb next Tuesday.
Still undecided shadow or silver
Your choice depends on whether you want to be "individual" or "OEM"
We tried various showroom rims against the Z to get a better idea but I was still a bit anxious as to what they would turn out like.
The black chrome could be quite dark against Boston Green but on the other hand the silver may be rather bright.
Who drives a car like that? Well the choice is yours
Should have gone to Specsavers
Should have bought a silver one
Take it your not very pleased then....shoegazer wrote:Got mine back from thewheelspecialist at lunchtime
Zelda now has nice clean, shiny, corrosion free 18" 108s with high power silver centres and TWS rims
Just after they reversed into it with a Z4 ?????shoegazer wrote:nasty mess they've made of that boston green Z3 that fell off the ramps
Thanks Snoops - like you said there's only one of me (thank goodness) so an individual look is quite aptSnoops wrote: The wheels look good Titan, the darker colour looks good with the silver bodywork, gives it more of an individual look.
That goes without sayingSnoops wrote: As long as you're pleased - that's the main thing.
"OEM" is merely one person's ( or a design team's) opinion or statement.
It is neither "right" nor "wrong" just what they thought was best at the time.
Shadow (or "brake dust") chrome is a dynamic colour in that it changes depending on the light and reflection from adjacent surfaces.
I like it and think it suits our Z.
What I really need to do next is go back to ???????? to reproduce my sig pic
