Hello from new member
Just a quick post to say hello.
I picked up my 1999 Z3 2.0 last year from an insurance salvage site with pretty heavy rear end damage but only 15k on the clock....yes, thats right, 15,000 miles!!
A couple of months and lots of late nights after work and its back on the road and I absolutely love it!
I worked in BMW bodyshop for 15 yrs when these were new and always wanted one.
Maybe my knowledge of BMW paint and bodywork could be helpful on this site, I'll keep an eye on posts and help out if I can.
Just a footnote....when I finished the car I gave it to my wife and earned so many brownie points it's untrue!!! (although its still registered in my name )
(I have a few pics of work in progress but they're too big to upload...any ideas how to reduce them?)

Welcome Spraydav
Would be great to have a professional bodyshop guy on the board
Instructions to post pics up are here

You can mess around with the photobucket setting so that it automatically resizes your photos to say 640x480 as they are uploaded.

Wow, I don't think I have seen a shinier Zed than yours!
Hope you don't mind me posting the direct link to your album!?!?

As Titan says, it will save you copying and pasting all the IMG tags.
Gaz.

That's absolutely fantastic Davespraydav wrote:Ha Ha, thanks...it only took me about a week solid flatting and machine polishing to get it like that...worth all the effort though!!
Sadly the young man in Pic #12does not look very impressed - or is he just trying to look "cool"
Probably deciding whether it would best to stick to standard gills or opt for chrome...Titan wrote:Sadly the young man in Pic #12does not look very impressed - or is he just trying to look "cool"
