Aviemore jaunt last week.

Post by tkbruce »

Stopped near the Aviemore - Broomhill line and along came the steam train just as I was getting the camera out.

Lovely photo, I parked there in exactly the same spot last Saturday to watch "The Great Marquess" go by but didn't have my camera.
Strathspey railway has now got a new engine http://www.strathspeyrailway.co.uk/
and it's well worth a ride through beautiful scenery, you can also dine in style on the train.
Drumuillie Mill just through the bridge and on the banks of the Spey is for sale if anyone fancies it.

Cheers DC et al.

We did the train ride the next day but only had the tea and coffee in the first class compartment as we had already have a huge breakfast in the hotel.
It brought me back to my youth when I used to go down to Edinburgh by train to study there. Ahh! those were the days! but I didn't have my Z3 then so I'm happier now.

Oh your're killing me! great picture. I was in God's country in 2001 to trace family roots and things, we stopped there along the way. Beutiful, just beutiful. Thanks for the memory!

Great Pic! very shiny zed, nice mods (chrome/de-tango), very clean.

Although alloys dont suit it at all in my opinion.

Cheers gents! thank you for the comments and about the wheels Tregsy, they were only £500 for the set of wheels and tyres so I'll probably change them later, try a different style, maybe a dazzling chrome set LOL.
