That picture outside the factory, makes that colour look absolutely flawless. Love how the M looks sitting there.

And Wow.. I forgot how much I've missed it..
I sourced the parts from eBay and bmw, followed the coupe forum right up and fitted it all in just over an hour!
Great upgrade if you haven't got it already

Re: Z3cades Zed - journal
Fresh crystal clear screen went in today
It's so good looking through a new screen.. Makes you realise after 15years how many marks were on the original..
The work was carried out by Auto windscreens, very professional. Did a brilliant job.
The original screen cracked all over on removal
New screen in with fresh new gasket oem green tint, same as the original.

I thought the tint went at the top
Re: Z3cades Zed - journal
How much was the new screen, if you don't mind me asking? Mines completely screwed, scratches all over the place and I've been considering getting a new one for a while, never got round to getting quotes though.

Re: Z3cades Zed - journal
Which seals were replaced, and did you have to replace many clips from the plastic trim at the bottom of the screen??
I've been kicking around the replacement of mine, so any added info would be useful so I can have all the bits before they start.

Wow one of my favourite roadsters. Not the best time of year but good luck with the sale
Re: Z3cades Zed - journal
oh wow....didnt expect to read that ...hell of a car
Re: Z3cades Zed - journal
One of my 3 favourite zed's (Jonttt's and Shanty's the other 2), real shame you are thinking of selling. Good luck anyway.

Re: Z3cades Zed - journal
they'll look nice Liam I was worried you were changing wheels but glad u stayed oem!
Re: Z3cades Zed - journal
Yep only changing the colour I thought about changing the wheels but for the M finding suitable fitments is a mare... Only a few options unless you spend 1000s... And none look as good as the original M wheels in shadow IMO..Daz3 wrote: they'll look nice Liam I was worried you were changing wheels but glad u stayed oem!

Re: Z3cades Zed - journal
I love the look of those wheels in that colour.
If only they would sit right on a narrow body id try get me a set in a heart beat.
Spot on lets see them fitted!

Re: Z3cades Zed - journal
Martyb if you fit wide body arches on your zed they would fit
Got them all ready to be wrapped in rubber.
I borrowed a set from my cousins coupe a while back and this made me decide I had to go for them

A familiar black car in the corner of the photo... Oh how I miss good driving weather.
They look fantastic mate! If you don't mind asking, who refurbished them and how much was it, and are they as good as they look in photos? Mine are in good condition (fronts were refurb'd just before I bought the car and the rears are not bad either), but shadow chrome... mmmmm....

Re: Z3cades Zed - journal
Indy from the coupe forum does an exchange deal. Takes your roadstars + cash for a refurbished set in shadow chrome.
You would have to give him a pm or I could forward you his number for a price.
There a good finish yes

Re: Z3cades Zed - journal
I'd be seriously tempted to fit the wide arches. I just don't think the insurance company would be very kind to the body modification. It is something I will keep on the back burner for when iv got some spare cash and could justify dabbling a little.

Cheers mate! I found his thread on coupe forum.
Btw, were your cousin's wheels refurb'd by him as well? As the paintjob on them was absolutely top notch!

Finally got the wheels on today
Before they went on they had a coat of Meguires polish glaze topped with a wax using 3M marine wax. The tyres were coated with meguires tyre shine gel, great stuff and smells amazing!
